Episode 7 (Mysterious Old Building )

Dinda waited for Akrila in the living room, she was busy looking through the contents of the message inside her phone while lying on the bed. Akriila had finished bathing and changed clothes.

Akrila came out of the bathroom wearing a red suit, black hoddie and black trousers with a towel to dry her long unraveled hair.

"Oh, is it over? come out to the garden chair" Dinda asked after seeing Akrila in neat clothes preparing the equipment to do some research.

"Wait a minute I'll dry my hair first" Akrila stood next to Arval's bedroom door and leaned against the wall.

"So, have you guys been around this village?"

Akrila opened the conversation, as the atmosphere was still quiet and dark outside the inn.

"No, we did not dare to go around the village before Arval got permission from the villagers first"

"Ohh... Arval's brother must still be talking to the village chief" muttered

"Yes, but Akrila. That was..." Dinda did not continue her words.

His facial expression turned worried, his phone he put in his pants pocket and immediately sat by the bed.

"Huh, what's up?" Akrila stopped drying her hair, her eyes focused on Dinda's changed facial expression.

"So, Adit and I deliberately wanted to know the road straight from the park chair that leads to the right side of the village to the back to what place?"

"Because we just want to know where that road will lead? We agreed to try to go down those streets"

Dinda explained while describing the position of the path she was referring to with her hand.

"Then what happened?" Akrila curious

"We continued down that rocky path until the end. Don't know how long we've been walking but it feels like the road is far away, the atmosphere is very quiet and dark. I saw many branches and tree roots running everywhere like in a forest. After that we only realized that the road leads to an old building!"

"Old building!? What's the character like?" Acrylic confused

"The building was very old, the front of the building was partially destroyed, even the walls were all cracked and there was no light illumination. We can see because of the light from my phone"

"it's really terrible, I don't want to imagine it anymore!" not quiet.

"Why could the building be so badly damaged, did the residents not want to renovate it? Should the building be a very useful facility?" Akrila thought

"What are you guys doing there?" ask Akrila again

"We approached to look around the building and the contents of the room inside the building. When Adit tries to open the fragile door and produce that creaking sound..."

"What did Adit see?" Akriila cuts out Dinda's explanation.

"Adit saw from the door slit, but suddenly he shouted very loudly and ran away leaving me. I was so shocked that when my phone went dark, I ran to Adit without trying to look back into the building!"

"So you don't know what's in the building either?"

"I don't know, I was so freaked out that I wanted to get out of the building and the street back to the inn"

"But why do people build buildings in the middle of the forest, who uses the buildings?" Dinda is confused.

"I don't know if the building used to be used for deliberations or village government meetings?" Akrila tries to guess the function of the building seen by Dinda and Adit.

"But why in the middle of the forest? This village area is still vast is there no other place?"

"Don't you say it's a long, rocky road, how come it'll be so fast for you two to get back to the village?" Akriila did not answer Dinda's question.

"I also don't know, when I came back to the village it felt like the road was shorter and not even 10 minutes walk"

All of their questions did not get the right answers.

Because of the incident that Dinda and Adit experienced was considered unnatural, they tried to forget about it and clean the inn.

(Door opens.).

"Huh...a long time this brother?" Adit suddenly appeared from the entrance.

"Akhn..." Akriila and Dinda were shocked

"Why yell? I'm not a ghost?"

"Adith... You're just surprised!" yell Acryl

"Alright, forgive me ladies" Adit sat on his knees on the floor asking for mercy.

"Sister of these two women is indeed very scary when angry, it's me!"

"Huh... This time you we let go!" breathing heavily.

"Really!?" very hopeful

"Yes, don't make us change our minds, now where is Arval's brother?" Akrila held back the anger, while Dinda brought a broom that almost broke her grip in annoyance and prepared to hit Adit.

"Sister Arval is still with the fathers yesterday, I don't know where?"

"I was told to go back to the inn by Arval because I was afraid, then Arval went with some other villagers" Adit was still sitting on the floor.

"Basic coward!" Akrika pinned Adit's head

"Oh, this is sick... If you dare to look for Arval's own brother, I don't like the people and the village!" almost crying.

"Old building?"

"Yes... Dinda's been telling me all the things you've been through"

"In the old building it was very dirty a lot of leaves and vegetation spread, there were also many tables, chairs and rope" Adit explained

"Is the building a school?" Dinda asked

"Maybe. But what made me scream was that I saw a huge, enormous black creature sitting on its back eating human bones and flesh!"

Adit demonstrates the way the creature eats even though the creature is behind it

"WHAT!!!" yelled Akrila and Dinda together

"Really! Inside there were countless piles of human bones and skulls!"

"You didn't see it wrong?" Akriila's worried

"Of course not. I dare not lie, brother believe me!"

"Akril what should we do now, tell brother Arval? It's 7 in the morning" Dinda is scared and wants to go home soon

"Don't... We don't tell brother Arval, you'll be angry because you didn't obey brother's orders"

"Then, what should we do after knowing everything, the inhabitants of this village are very dangerous Akrila!"

"We have to behave like nothing happened and keep doing research for schoolwork so that no one is suspicious, if it's done we have to quickly go"

"Would that work, brother? I'm already scared"

"It certainly works, now we are in the inn, no one comes out before Arval's brother returns" said Akrila

"Well" Dinda and Adit agreed despite their feelings of unease.

The entrance that Dinda had locked was knocked from the outside.

"Who is that? Arval's sister?" Dinda walked in to open the door.

"Wait on! Don't open it first, it's not the big brother" Akrila prevented and blocked Dinda's move.

"Sister Arval brought and kept the spare key given by the father yesterday, you should be able to unlock the door yourself with a spare key! We better wait a little longer" Akrila spoke in a soft voice.

The sound of knocking from outside the entrance stops, moving to the back door. No one opened, the voice moved again to the closed window. Then the sound of the knocking disappeared.

"Has he gone?" Dinda whispered.

"No, I heard a voice!"

All parts of the walls, the entrance, the exit and the window of the inn were knocked and many hands came from outside penetrating into the wooden wall making all objects vibrate. Not just two hands but a lot of them, there are hands everywhere.

The three of them were startled and gathered in the middle of the room, Adit ran to hug Akrila.

"Akrila, how's this? How many are they all?" Dinda panicked

"I-I don't know either, we have to hang in here!"

"What creature is that brother? They're not all human! I'm scared!" Adit hugged Akrika

"Let Adit calm no one can hurt us! Trust my sister"

All those hands suddenly disappeared, again there was the sound of someone knocking at the entrance.

"Now we see if it's Arval's sister or not!" Akrila, Dinda and Adit together walked slowly closer to the entrance.

Each of them carries a weapon to protect themselves. Adit carries scissors, Dinda carries a broom that breaks in half and Akrila carries an electric racket.

"What's wrong? Why did you open the door for so long?" Arval's brother came in and opened the door with a spare key.

"Huh..thank God it turns out brother!" Akrila, Dinda, and Adit let out a long sigh.

"Jawab first, why does everything look so panicked?" brother Arval is getting upset

"Ah... Hehe, there's nothing sis" Akrila replied in a stammer, Dinda and Adit hide behind Akrila.

"If there is a problem or danger just tell your sister, don't be afraid. Big brother who will cope, understand!"

"Good brother!" the three of them answered firmly and excitedly.

Arval's sister walked through them towards her room.

"Alright since nothing happened, brother will get ready" opened the closet taking towels and clothes

Akrila, Adit and Dinda just chuckled

hiding the guilt of lying to Arval's brother.
