Chapter 44: Emperor's Dream, part 3
“...So, in essence, you are herding has a power superior to Supreme Magic?” Nueva threw a rhetorical question, her expression hardened. “Kidding also has its limits. And I'm sick of your bullshit. You are just a stepping stone for me to become even stronger!”
Nueva darted to attack with a body layered with armor of fire, wind, and lightning. The main magic of his origin was [Elemental Manipulation], this magic allowed him to use the five basic element magic freely. More than that, he could combine the five magic into other elements. As of now, it combined fire, wind and lightning to create a glowing plasma armor.
At the same time, two swords combined with the five basic elements were created in both hands of the emperor. He even added [Eternal Zero] into the blackish-purple-colored sword that layered a silvery aura. And in the blink of an eye he had already cut the distance with the commander, his two element swords were weaving horizontally in the same direction.
“To be the entity you call a god,” said Xavier while blocking both slashes of the Nueva element sword with his right arm, “you need three aspects of power that clearly surpass Supreme Magic.”
If Nueva is interested in listening, he doesn't show it. He continuously slashed his two elemental swords as if his life depended on that slash. Although Xavier was able to fend off and dodge those slashes without moving a single inch from the stand, Nueva insisted.
“First prospect: Omnipotent,” Xavier continues while capturing Nueva's sword slash with his index finger and right thumb. “By having this power, even life and death is no longer a limitation. [Reality Warping] is an inferior version of Omnipotent. You can get close to [Reality Warping] if you combine [True Reality], [Endless Thought], and [Reverse Law].”
Nueva tried to slam her feet into Xavier's head, but her legs stopped in midair.
“Second prospect: Omniscience. By having this power, there will be nothing you cannot know. [Extraterrestrial Frame] is its inferior version. Crest Mother of Nature, Supreme Magic [Divine Insight] and [Complete Sensory] are the combinations necessary to approach this inferior ability.”
Time has been stopped. Nueva could not feel anything. The only reason why his eyes could still move was because the commander allowed his eyes to move in a halted time.
The last “Aspect is Omnipresence. With this power, you can be anywhere without any hindrance. Being in the past and in the future at the same time will be as easy as turning a hand. [Dual World] is an ability that tries to emulate Omniscience. By combining [Complete Sensory], [Divine Insight], and [Reverse Law], [Dual World] capabilities you can approach.”
Nueva forced her body to move, trying to resist the stalled time. Unfortunately, even with all the power he already had, he could not escape this unrunning time.
“Together, the three aspects form a single entity that we call One Magic: a combination of all Supreme Magic.” Xavier flicked his finger, and time returned to normal. “What I want to say is, I'm not making it up at all. Supreme Magic is the strongest, but only in a three-dimensional world.”
The legs of Nueva that had previously stopped moving are now back swinging. However, his kick only penetrated past the commander's body as he kicked the empty air. Nueva launched a series of attacks, but none of them hit his opponent.
“In the fourth dimension, there is Magic Anomaly. Having Omnipotent, Omniscience, and Omnipresence puts you in the fifth dimension. To stand in the sixth dimension, you must connect yourself with the Throne of Heaven. And you know what? It is likely that there is still a seventh dimension, although this is only a deduction.”
“I told you to shut your rotten mouth! Ultra Frozen Dragon Breath!”
Circumstances haven't changed. The ultra-massive cold energy burst that Nueva's mouth released only passed through the commander as if he did not exist. And because behind it was a mountain body, the energy glided smoothly against the mountain body. Nearly one-fifth of the mountain disappeared in the frozen rock and was eroded into ice particles.
“There is nothing more painful than realizing that all your efforts during this time will end in vain, right?”
Nueva threw both of her swords like spearmen throwing their spears in response to the insulting question.
At the same time, both of his palms fused strongly. Nueva spent the remaining seventy percent of her mana to bring up a giant super magic circle that formed over an array of dozens of other magic circles. The emperor tried to make the strongest attack his head could think of, and all of the magic circles glowed brightly.
“What is too difficult to accept reality?” xavier asked with a face looking up, eyes looking smiling at the series of massive magic circles in the sky late in the day. “Too much mana wasted,” comments.
“Be quiet!” Nueva clenched her teeth trying to stabilize the unification of all magic circles.
“Ah, what reality is it so painful?”
“Oh, you want to run away from reality?”
“Didn't I tell you to keep your rotten mouth shut?!” yelled Nueva until her voice was hoarse. “Destroy it now, Absolute Demise!” he nodded his hands forward.
And in an instant, an attack that even cracked the space around him descended from the massive magic circle combined. All of them joined and concentrated towards the place where the commander stood. Nueva could not think of a more devastating attack than that.
However, Xavier simply raised his right hand upward with an open palm, and a moment of destructive energy stopped exactly an inch above the palm. That energy then binds to each other forming a ball of energy. Xavier increased his density until when the massive spell disappeared, the energy ball formed was only the size of a fist.
“Did I not say...if I could control and control the laws of the universe and all logic at will?”
Nueva did not have time to answer the rhetorical question. His eyes had widened, as Xavier was suddenly in front of him. The commander's hand holding the energy ball had already pierced through the emperor's chest. Nueva could feel the turmoil of that energy ‒ he could imagine a powerful explosion that would destroy him the moment Xavier pulled his hand.
“...There is no more shameful death than to die in self-inflicted attack. You agree, don't you, Emperor?”
Xavier's lips grinned, Nueva's eyes glared with sweat filling the sizzle, and without warning the commander disappeared.
Radiation of light penetrated every square centimeter of Nueva's skin, and a tremendous explosion instantly engulfed the emperor's body. His right eye even had a chance to see the left eye that had bounced and vanished into ashes. Nueva's soul thrashed, and—
—Dan Nueva instantly turned away with confusion and fear mixed with great.
His body, which his own eyes had witnessed had been shattered immeasurably, was still in one piece. And as his eyes went around, he found himself at the foot of the mountain where he had been about to finish off Xavier before the commander suddenly disappeared. Nueva spontaneously turned around, and Xavier— who was sitting on a large rock with both legs folded up— exhibited a thin grin greeting him.
