Mardinal: The Assassin's Adventure
Chapter 16: The Squid Monster

The loud swings of their two weapons created waves of slashes, coincidentally slashing at the monsters beside them, slashing the monster's body to cause numerous bursts of blood.

“You have good reflexes, samurai comrade,” trivial Mardin while trying to push his cleaver.

The man also pushed his katana. “I'm like this too because you attacked me first. Look, I have absolutely no intention of fighting you, let alone killing you.”

“Lantas?”

The two immediately jumped apart from each other, separated by the lesion of pangolin monsters. The monster's body seemed to be spinning, ready to dart out to make an attack.

“DIAM!”

Mardin and the man both slashed at the pangolin monster out of annoyance at their interaction being interrupted by it.

“So?” Mardin casually demanded an answer.

“I want to convey something very important to you, Mardin. But first, introduce me, I'm Haku. And I'm not a real person here.”

“You mean, you came all the way from out of town just to look for me?” Mardin seemed to think with a smile made sumringah. “Wah…. I seem to have become a celebrity because yesterday I sent a script of the novel online. Though as I recall, my last script burned the same editor to be so’in the ingredients of a false ritual. Very meritorious yes I am this. Yeah, it's hard if I'm handsome.”

Haku narrowed his eyes irritated when he noticed Mardin's narcissistic behavior. And had crossed his mind about what kind of novel script can be burned to be’in the material of perverse rituals.

“What novel did you write?”

“Novel Satanic,” replied plain Mardin.

Haku rubbed his face rough. Think again, is it a real novel script or a book of heresy?

The red-haired young man if increasingly noticed is annoying as well. It's annoying, not knowing yourself.

How could Luan get Haku to meet such an antique?

“Grrrblockblock! Grrrblockblock...!”

Haku and Mardin both heard a strange monster sound in front of them. Apparently, the group of monsters that were still surrounding them were bounced away by the throwing of this one large creature as it crept towards them.

The creature is a giant squid measuring about 3 meters more with the texture of the body somewhat rotted and smells pungent. His tentacles seemed to be in unshakeable motion, hitting any monsters nearby. This squid also has a wide fanged mouth at the bottom of its head, gaping wide, roaring very hard.

“Wohooo! Tentacle monster Hentong!” shouted Mardin girang.

“It seems, he's the king of this party,” comments Haku while wagging his katana dirty by blood.

“Iya…. He's the conqueror of women. You just see how big and shiny the tentacles are,” the half-sniffled Mardin god.

“If left unchecked, many girls become victims.” I looked at Mardin. “Where? Get rid?”

Mardin. “OK. Can weathered bujang us if the girls are worshiped. Besides, you still owe me an explanation of what you wanted to tell me.”

“Sure. We'll talk after this, man. Agree?”

Haku gave a helping hand to shake his hand, but Mardin preferred to raise his fist.

“I'd rather like this, Friend.” Mardin smiled.

Spontaneous Haku joined in smiling, understanding his point. “Heh. Not bad.”

The two also exchanged hands as a sign that they agreed.

“Defeat him, Man,” says Haku.

“Who's slow, he's a loser!” mardin shouted happily.

They immediately shot out rapidly towards the squid monster. Both of them gave slashes, cutting off each tentacle of the monster, but all of the tentacles that were cut off grew into new tentacles.

“All its tentacles regenerate,” Haku said when he had just finished slashing one tentacle. “Ah, I just remembered. You see five circles on the sides of his head?”

Mardin looked carefully at the head of the squid. True said Haku, there were indeed five yellowish circles on several sides of the monster's head.

“Iya…. There are indeed strange circles on the head,” said Mardin ascertained. “Terus?”

“Monster of this type usually must be attacked first parts of the circle until destroyed in order to paralyze and inhibit regeneration. Because the circles are the point of weakness,” is clearly brief Haku. “After that, we can just finish.”

Mardin grabbed a skateboard on his back belt. “OK. If that one, just leave it to me.”

Mardin started skating with a skateboard. Haku wanted to help, but he was instead surrounded by more normal-sized monsters.

“You guys tried to block me, apparently.” Haku instantly slashed at the monsters with a katana.

Mardin skated quickly using a skateboard, trying to get close to the squid monster. Seeing the arrival of Mardin, the monster immediately attacked with several tentacles. Nimblely Mardin avoids every swing of tentacles, jumps, salto.

And when one tentacle was about to hit its skateboard, the skateboard immediately transformed. Two pairs of tires were automatically inserted into the body of the skateboard, replaced with two blue-lighted propellers facing down.

“Fly, skyboard!”

His skateboard turned into a flying board, bringing Mardin flying high towards the monster. Of course, he laughed glad we did the attraction.

While flying through the air, Mardin turned his machete into a blaster pistol, shooting the monster. Of course, every laser shot was successfully pushed aside by hard tentacles.

“Still able to survive, huh..?”

“Laser Cannon!”

A loop of holograms appeared in front of the muzzle of the gun. Directly Mardin spray laser right hit the yellow circle in the left lower head.

“Freedom of Sakura Flowers.”

At the same time, Haku also slashed a pink scythe right about the circle under the right head. After launching the slash, he was forced to go back to fighting some monsters that tried to disturb him.

“You can handle it up there? I'll be right after!” haku shouted while slashing at the monster.

“Ay, ay, ay, Captain!” mardin's respect was accompanied by a one-eye blink.

Mardin again flew around the giant squid monster.

“Hologram Gauge.”

Using this ability, Mardin created five holographic machetes at once, hurling them at the monster while continuing to fly. Some machetes can only slash the tentacles that block, only the last machete can slash the circle on the left.

“Good!”

“You don't want to use your flagship abilities, Mardin? You can immediately finish off this rancid monster if you want,” Dros suggested in Mardin's mind.

Dros sounded out a sigh. “Terlarah. Basis, agile monkey.”

Mardin flew rapidly towards the squid monster, preparing to launch a direct attack. The three remaining hologram machetes he used to slash through some tentacles so as not to block them. Continuing to fly closer, even Mardin jumped down from the skyboard, gliding over the surface of the tentacles with the skyboard following automatically beside him.

“Taste this, venereal villain!”

“Blue Neon Freedom!”

Mardin leaped from the surface of the tentacles, darting rapidly while swinging the blue-colored scythe slash towards the right circle.

“Woa, hooo!”

Mardin briefly continued to fall, but managed to land on the skyboard when the object automatically detected the user in danger.

“Good work, Friend.” Mardin patted the skyboard and was only met with engine swish.

From above, Mardin saw Haku surrounded by many monsters. He wanted the man to attack the squid monster's final weakness, so he helped from afar.

“Pistol Blaster.” Mardin turned one holographic machete into a pistol. “Laser Cutter!”

Using laser-cutting bursts from the hologram gun, Mardin slashed through the ranks of monsters around Haku to pave the way for the silver-haired man to attack the squid monster.

Jumping past the blood spurts from the pieces of the monster's body, Haku immediately ran over one of the tentacles, approached the monster, then jumped high up on its head.

Unfortunately, one tentacle was about to grab Haku's leg. The closer, the closer, and the closer it will reach his feet.

“Capture!”

Mardin caught Haku's hand, carrying the man flying slightly away upwards. If only Mardin had not been captured, Haku might have been dragged by the monster tentacles.

“Hei! How about we do a combo?” saran Mardin was still holding Haku's hand hanging. “I'd love to do a combo from yesterday, but always no friends.”

“May if you want,” reply Haku quiet.

“OK. Do your best, man!”

Mardin threw Haku high up into the sky. Haku's face did not show a tense expression at all, but remained flat feeling familiar with what he was doing now.

“Hah...”.

Haku spun in the air, turning around in a position ready to plunge down.

“Med Spring.”

All of Haku's katana was shrouded in pink light, its attack power further strengthened. And after that, Haku darted as fast as possible down accompanied by a slight gust of cherry blossom petals around him.

“Wohooo!”

Mardin excited himself when he saw Haku darting past him. This young man also did not want to lose.

“Activate thrower mode.”

Skyboard Mardin slightly tilted down, the more pulling his legs to be more attached to the surface of the skyboard. The two propellers under the skyboard were spinning louder, whirring louder, and the blue light was getting brighter.

“This is what I call, Throwing Ketapel Bird Ngembek.”

Skyboard catapulted Mardin's body down, making the cheerful young man dart very quickly, preparing with a machete in hand.

“HIAH!”

“HAAH!”

Haku plunged into the top of the yellow circle on the head of the squid monster using a pink katana, followed by Mardin who also gave slashes using a blue machete.

“GYAAARRRHHH!!! Blockblock....!”

The monster screamed in pain as its five vital points had been destroyed. All the tentacles immediately fell down unable to move anymore.

Haku and Mardin land well on the road, and Mardin's skyboard catches him as he falls from the sky.

The squid monster was already helpless, and the number of monsters in this desolate street was also less and less. It's time for this fight to end.

“Let me handle the rest, Mardin.”

“OK,” said casually Mardin began to notice what Haku would do next while attaching the skyboard to the back belt magnet patch.

Haku took the position of the horses ready to launch a slash attack using a katana. But this time, the attack will be quite dangerous. Perhaps the man intended to kill the huge squid monster as well as finish off all the remaining monsters in one attack.

“Huuuh...”.

Haku closed his eyes while regulating his breathing, starting to concentrate on gathering Ru Energy in the body. His sword again glowed a pink color, hundreds of petals of cherry blossoms fluttering around him.

“He wants to finish them off with his flagship ability, huh?” ask Dros. “I feel Element Ru getting bigger want to use.”

Mardin crossed her arms with a smile that never faded on her face. “Kurasa. I'm curious, how great is his ability on this one.”

The pink flower petals are getting louder and firmer. Haku was getting ready to launch his attack. The katana is ready to be swung harder, the mind is more focused, and one leg is pushed forward.

“Eh?”

Merely, Haku felt something being stepped on by his feet. That made Haku's focus on launching flagship attacks more relaxed.

“What am I stepping on this?”

Mardin's face is made plain like a Kindergarten child. A bit awkwardly, Mardin pointed at the thing that Haku had just stepped on.

“Let me be clear.” Mardin replied plain, “Itu-e’-monster.”

Haku's face was instantly flat. All the petals of the cherry blossoms fell down, suddenly withering on the ground. The light in the katana was instantly extinguished.

Haku ventured to see the soles of his expensive shoes. It is true, there is a dark and foul-smelling soft object stuck there.

Haku sighed, instantly the awkward atmosphere. It had been difficult to cuddle up Ru Energy to launch a fairly large Element Ru attack, but it was even chaotic just because of the monster dirt.

“Server!”
