Makka cried as she pleased on a speeding car on an asphalt road. His palm repeatedly wiped away the melted tears, but his tears brushed the river, continuing to flood mercilessly.
Mekka did not expect if it turns out her husband was married to another woman besides her. But why wasn't Azlan honest about it to her before their marriage took place? Didn't Azlan say he was going to return to his village and marry Mekka? But why did Azlan even marry another woman? God, why is it so painful to know the truth? It was hard to imagine Azlan sharing his heart and feelings with another woman. It was hard to imagine the man making out and sleeping with another woman. Which woman can share her husband with others? The heart of Mecca is watered with the phrase istighfar pleading for strength, but the pain that cuts him to pieces his mind. Perhaps it would not have been that pure if he had not hoped for Azlan at first. But why did everything have to happen when he had shed all his future hopes on Azlan alone?
Mekka's cry continued until the driver turned his head and said, “Mbak, we have arrived.”
Makkah raised her face which was still swollen. Her tears still seemed to melt on both of her cheeks. “Oh..” He looked outside and saw the hospital. Then he got out of the car after paying the fare.
On the other hand, Azlan was sitting on a bed with a half-lying position. His back rests on the back of the bed. He was bare-chested, gauze bandaged the injured part until all that seemed to be blood spots were still left.
“Do you feel dizzy?” ask Alexa who's sitting on the side of the bed.
Azlan opened his eyes, looking into Alexa's blue eyes that looked pushy through his eyes. Azlan instead of feeling dizzy, he closed his eyes because he was thinking about Mecca. How's the lady doing? for two days he left Mecca without preaching it. Maybe Mekka was worried about him. Or maybe the woman was agitated and could not sleep in the last two days. Azlan felt guilty. Not that he left Mecca just like that, but his departure at that time intended to find work instead brought him to meet with Alexa to make him remember the good times of his marriage with Alexa. And when he wanted to return to Mecca to explain the reality that had actually happened, he actually got bad news from Alexa until he was finally shot. For a day and a night, he stayed in the hospital and had not even been able to tell Mekka.
God, I don't know what Mecca was feeling at the time.
