Not wanting to fight the law. At least, not yet. For that reason, Nina was willing to continue the conversation in the former Norman Ricci workspace located right on the side of the second-floor balcony. He left the commander alone in the room to call his father-in-law.
While waiting, Gerald could not help but observe Norman Ricci's entire study. The place was as if only the owner had left for a while. Some documents lay not far from the facsimile machine that was clean of dust. Just regular dividend reports. For the rest, Gerald was more interested in the large window frame behind the table. From the corner of the window, Gerald could freely stare towards the balcony jutting over the lower-floor terrace. Likewise, because the window glass is clear white and without excess lattice that interferes with the view outwards.
A person's memory then disperse Gerald's mind as if he was traveling to the past, a time where Norman Ricci was still alive and may often look at the side of the balcony from behind the desk.
Gerald looked away from the window, then saw Olivia Ricci had joined him and Nina in this room.
"Commander," said Olivia in a stiff manner. One hundred and eighty degrees compared to Nina by her side who seemed to be carrying a relaxed, but powerful, spirit.
"Hello, Mrs Olivia." Gerald used a smile to melt the suddenly tense atmosphere, but to no avail. The corner of Olivia's lips only twitched for a moment as if forced. Both he and Olivia, seemed to both feel an overwhelming existence around them, and it was inseparable from Nina's existence. Nina's dark aura felt even more intimidating inside this villa and room.
"Before, I'm sorry. I don't mean to presumptuously break through the private quarters of your deceased husband." Gerald spoke as he was. Nina did not have the key to this room, so the woman did her magic as usual, breaking in. Gerald did not wonder why Nina could do it. If you want, Nina can let go of the door.
Mirisnya, Olivia moaned slowly in reaction. The woman's face clearly said that she was not pleased, but the tail of her eyes did not dare to glance sideways. Oliva just shook his eyes at the commander, until the awkwardness rubbed into the corner of the room.
Gerald cleared a moment. "I didn't come here to speak stale. You both need to know that I had plans to tear apart Ricci's villa."
Nina's expression flared like an axis ready to explode, while Olivia's eyes sparkled to hear it. Gerald was not happy to save the surprise, so he did not delay to reveal his discovery this morning.
"As I once told the two of you at the police station, at different times," Gerald corrected, "we found a pile of bones in an old well in the woods near the villa. In the forensic report, it said the bones were from the indigenous population." Nina's pair of eyes now dimmed, while Olivia put on a stiff face looking unconcerned.
"So, what does this have to do with this place?" nina's question surprised Gerald for not expecting the woman's attention to be seized by the news of the bone just now.
"The age of the bones varies, but it has the same pattern as coming from successive generations."
"You mean?"
"If the bones can bear children, then there are great-grandchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and so on, but the age of the bones is the oldest, strangely not older and contemporaneous with the construction of the villa Ricci."
"The bones were Ricci's previous owners? My husband's family?" Olivia's gaze widened successfully because the Ricci Villa has been more than a century old and has been the residence of several generations.
"Not." Gerald shook his head. "As I said ... the natives."
"There are graves of indigenous people in wells?" Gerald also endured patience because his words were constantly interrupted. This time it was Nina. The cold woman could do anything to hurt others, but was so enthusiastic about bones.
"To be more precise, they are like being gathered in one place for a specific purpose. It must not be an accidental coincidence."
"Flame!" Nina realized she might have dug her own grave while shouting it out loud. He now has no heart, so his head can think clearly without being understood by Commander Gerald and Olivia Ricci. "It's worth it this villa is haunted."
Gerald squinted at Nina's bold assumption. Without needing to feel sorry for Olivia, he lowered his head on Nina to barely distance himself. "That's possible. But clearly, something evil is taking possession of the villa and your mind, Mrs Nina."
Nina smiled broadly. "I don't mean to drag you into this matter, Detective Chief. You're the one who keeps getting in my way. But it's not too late for you to change your mind. Run while you still have time!"
"I'm just warning your son-in-law not to try to commit a crime after the murder plot he's been through, Madam."
"Re-planned murder?" Instantly Olivia stuttered with a paled face.
"You and Mrs Nina alone may not want to admit it, but my intuition for many years was involved in criminal affairs, it couldn't be wrong."
"Commander, you're wrong! How could I possibly touch my daughter-in-law?" Olivia laughed bitterly. Right, getting closer and having bad thoughts about Nina alone, immediately makes him and Naomi get instant karma. But ....
"Maybe not right now, but never! And the reason Mrs Nina retracted her report back then must have something to do with the current events."
Gerald then proves to Nina that he is not a police commander who can be arranged by the woman as good as heart. Deep within the commander, he had a firmness that was not influenced by people, including Nina.
"If you ransack this villa, you know what you're going to get, Dear Detective Chief," Nina said earnestly.
"Madam Nina, undo whatever bad intentions are in your head right now. We can find a solution to your problem in a good way."
"Not now, Detective Chief. Please leave this place before the situation gets bad!" Nina threatened the police commander with an open challenge. A group of ghosts had been on standby filling the room. Although the creatures were not sensed by the vision of the police commander, but his dark aura made the air in that place many times more crowded and cold. Olivia shivered and felt a great discomfort all over her body. Reflexes, he approaches Commander Gerald to seek refuge.
"You may need to consider getting out of this place temporarily, Mrs Olivia." The commander turned to Nina's mother-in-law and was immediately overpowered by Nina's cold words.
"Take off your useless advice, Mr. Detective. My parents-in-law won't go anywhere. Olivia Ricci will stay in this villa until death."
"Help me, Commander! Ahhhh!" Olivia's words changed screams when her body was suddenly dragged by an invisible force, then her back hit the glass window that was fortunately closed, and the, the only barrier between him and the threat of gravity ready to pull him in a dangerous leap.
"Milina!" Gerald stripped Nina of her "mistress" status behind her name with a fool. The situation was instantly out of control once he was off guard, despite acting cautiously towards this woman. Nina's actions have reached the threshold of tolerance of the police commander.
"Don't .. Don't be like this." Gerald was begging the woman. A woman who knows when to start twisting all the logic in her head.
Nina laughs, punctuated by Olivia's whimper which is no match for her age. It didn't sound ludicrous or feel funny anymore, to Nina. He was more upset about the intervention of the police commander.
"There's nothing you can get from avenging evil with evil, Nina."
"I've told you, you don't know anything about me, Mr Detective! We are fine without your presence. Don't try to bring your people here!" Olivia's screeching for help rang out in the background. Nina snorted cynically.
"Go away. Or do you want me to kiss?"
Gerald looked at Nina in disbelief. However, the threat that sounded not serious was then able to drive away his steps to leave Ricci's villa.
"Don't go, Commander! Save kamiii!" Olivia screamed in despair.
