Chapter 2's

7 Years later...

"Big good morning!" Akira excitedly approached his two brothers who were already sitting at the dining table.

"Mama and Papa are also good morning" he said with a smile.

"Beloved morning" Papa replied.

"Good morning beautiful Mama" said Mama.

"Dear to love" said Naoya.

"Good morning Akira" Yuki said smilingly.

"Here you sit. Today Akira has to sit close to Brother" Naoya said.

"But Akira wants to sit next to Kak Yuki" explained Akira.

"No, no. Akira was with him yesterday, now Akira has to be with me" Naoya protested.

"If it's still morning, don't fight like that" said Papa chuckling.

"Where is Brother Shin? Is Brother still sleeping?" Ask Akira.

"It seems so" Papa replied.

"About waking him up, Brother Shin will be late" Akira said again.

"Please baby" said Mama.

Akira passed away to his sister's room. Politely, he knocked on his sister's bedroom door, but after several knocks, there was no answer.

"So I'm up, it's morning, brother" said Akira knocking on Shinji's room door.

"Sister Shin, Akira came in, yes." she said a little yells as she did not get Shinji's answer from inside the room. Out of concern, Akira goes straight into Shinji's room to confirm his condition.

"Sister?" He said while opening the door. "Why is my sister still sleeping?" Ask again when he finds Shinji still sleeping on the bed.

"Sister, let's get up. Shin is late for school. Mama, Papa and the other Brother were already waiting downstairs. Let's get up" said Akira patting the brother's arm.

"Emm. 5 minutes away" he replied with his eyes still closed.

"If Shin doesn't wake up, Akira will jump on Big Brother" Akira threatened. After no reply from Shinji, Akira completely leaps onto Shinji's body.

"YAHHKKK!!!!" Shinji shouted very loudly. Surprised, Akira quickly hugs Shinji whom he overlaps.

"Oh my goodness Akira. Why are you so rude to wake me up?" His protest returned the embrace of his sister.

"Sorry Brother, don't be angry. Akira told you earlier, if you don't want to wake up Akira will jump. Sorry brother Shin, don't be angry." Akira said regretfully.

Akira hugged his brother tightly. He regretted doing that earlier. She was afraid that her brother would be angry because Shinji was indeed a slightly rude and emotional person. He was also too honest so he could say bad things casually. 

"It's okay, Brother is fine but can Akira let go of his embrace? Brother can't breathe now" Shinji said.

"Ah forgive Akira Kak" said Akira staring at Shinji. As Akira is about to descend from Shinji's body, he pulls Akira and tickles his body until Akira laughs so hard.

"This is my revenge for that dear" he said as he continued to tickle Akira.

"HAHAHA... Brother Shin sorry, sorry Akira. Stop now, hahaha." said Akira, who was still laughing. She even shed her tears as she tickled Shinji. Shinji only stopped after he was completely satisfied with his sister.

"Are I tired. Next time do not try to jump on Sister again or Brother will continue to tickle you" he threatened the Brother.

"I think you understand, brother. Akira's stomach hurts from laughing a lot" said Akira wiping his tears and getting off the mattress while holding his stomach.

"Geez, it was a long time to wake up Her sister-Mama was already on the doorstep with a smile - quickly take a shower and we have Shin's breakfast. Come on Akira also eat, don't disturb Brother" said Mama.

"Good Ma." Say both.

Akira and Mama went back down to eat.

"He was playing around with Shin instead" Mama smilingly explained to everyone.

"It's worth a long time" Naoya said.

"So Brother Shin didn't want to get up anyway, so Akira jumped onto his body" explained Akira sitting near Naoya.

"really? You are the best Akira" Naoya laughed.

"Of course, Akira is Big Brother's sister" he said smiling as well.

"Alright, now Akira eats yes, let Kak Shin follow later" said Papa who had eaten with Yuki and Naoya.

"No, Akira will wait for Shin" Akira said firmly.

"Eat first, Brother Shin long if you take a bath" said Yuki.

"No, Akira will wait for Shin" he said again.

"All right, it's up to Akira. We ate first" said Papa.

"Mama also ate first" said Mama.

"Good Pa, Ma. Akira will wait for Shin."

They eat voraciously except for Akira who is still waiting for his brother. After a 15-minute wait, there has been no sign of Shinji appearing.

"Are you sure you won't eat first?" Ask Mama.

"real Akira. Look, we're done eating. Akira just eat first" said Papa.

"No Ma, Pa, Akira will wait for Brother" he said.

"Basan Adik Kakar this one-Naoya stroked Akira's head slowly - I'm done, Brother first yes" he said. 

"Yes Brother."

Yes, Akira grew up to be a slightly stubborn girl. He won't change his mind if he's sure. This personality of hers was a little troublesome but fortunately up until now Akira was not stubborn for anything bad and selfish. He was stubborn only when he really cared and felt worried for his Sisters like this.

As it is still early morning and Shinji has yet to get out of his room, Papa and Naoya go to watch television, Mama washes dirty dishes and Akira and Yuki are still at the dinner table.

10 Minutes later...

"Make Brother say, Brother Shin was long Akira, better Akira eat now" said Yuki.

"But..."

"Why? What's the matter if I'm long? Yuki alone is too diligent" said Shinji who suddenly came and sat beside Akira.

"Sister has made Akira wait a long time, we have even finished eating" Yuki explained.

"Eh? Has Akira not eaten yet? Akira waiting for me?" Ask ensures.

Akira nodded. "About waiting for Brother" he said softly.

"Geez. I'm sorry, I'm sorry Brother Akira. Why didn't Akira just eat first? Sorry yes" said Shin regretfully as he stroked Akira's head.

"It's okay, brother, let's eat now" Akira smiled.

"Come.you must be very hungry, sorry Akira" he said again.

"It's okay, brother."

A few moments later...

"Have you finished eating?" Ask Papa.

"It's Pa" replied Akira who was taken by Shinji as a sign of agreement.

"Alright, let's go" said Papa again.

"Our mother left" Naoya said.

"Alright be careful, the spirit of learning yes" said Mama.

"About gone Mama, bye-bye" said Akira waving his hand.

"Bye-bye, be careful dear" said Mama again, who was adopted by Akira and others.

They then left. Akira drops first because the distance of his school is closest from home.

"About the school was Pa, Brother" he said after getting out of the car.

"Be careful baby, the school must be spirit yes" said Papa.

"Later in the afternoon Brother will pick you up, do not go home alone" said Naoya.

"Well Pa, sister, Akira came in first" said Akira.

"Bye-bye" Yuki said smilingly as she waved her hand.

"Don't run Akira" Shinji said.

"Yes Brother."

In the afternoon at Akira's school...

Akira looks happy when he gets out of class. Her sweet smile was engraved on her beautiful face. It seems like he got something good today.

"About.." call someone in front of the school gate.

"Sister!" Akira smiled. He then ran over to his brother.

"Don't run like that, Akira will fall" Naoya said.

"It's not going to fall on Brother, but Akira won't repeat it again" he said smiling as he looked at his worried older brother.

"I thought I was first, bye-bye" said Rina, one of Akira's friends.

"Excuse me, we go first" said the friend's mother.

"Bye-bye, watch out for Rina, see you Auntie" Akira waved his hand. Naoya smiled and bowed respectfully.

"Akira, let's go home too" Naoya asked.

"Come on."

Naoya accidentally picks up Akira because Akira's school is in line with his school. Naoya now attends school in his first year of high school. The age of each of her sisters is only 2 years different except for Yuki and Akira who are 5 years different. Naoya and Akira then went home on foot while holding hands.

"Sister, you know what? Akira got the highest grade in the class. Akira got 5 stars today" he said proudly.

"Gee, Brother Sister is smart. Akira is great" he said smiling.

"It will roughly collect a lot of stars for Big Brother Shin and Kak Yuki" he smiled.

"That means Akira should be more active in learning again but do not overdo it" he said stroking Akira's head was anxious.

"About, there's ice cream. Does Akira want to?" Ask Naoya.

"What can? Later Mama will be angry if we come home late Brother" he said doubtful.

"All right" he said smiling.

Then they approached the ice cream truck.

"What do you want?" Ask Naoya.

"Strawberries" replied Akira passionately.

"OK wait ya-Naoya smiled - Uncle, I order one strawberry flavor"

"One?" Akira.

"This is Mr, please" said the seller.

"This is Uncle's money" Naoya said, giving the money.

After Naoya gave him the money, his truck then left.

"It's the ice cream" Naoya told Akira.

"One only?" Ask.

"How much does Akira want? Akira can't eat ice cream much later his teeth hurt. One first yes, later if it has just been bought again" explained the brother.

"Not for Akira Kak, what kind of ice cream for Big Brother?" Ask again.

"Oh?" Naoya is shocked by Akira's words. "Sister is not looking to eat ice cream so Big Brother is not buying it" Naoya explained.

"Then Akira won't eat his ice cream either" Akira said.

"Why? It has been bought, baby if not eaten" said Naoya again.

"If you don't eat ice cream, Akira won't eat ice cream either!" akira.

"Dear baby, the truck's gone. Next time Big Brother will buy it 2, but now just eat it yourself huh. Brother really is not wanting to eat ice cream right now" Naoya said.

"No way!" Reject Akira

"(Geez) Akira listen to Brother, Akira must hear what Brother said, eat alone yes" Naoya said again.

"No want! Anyway Akira doesn't want Kak, Akira says no!" said annoyed.

"Don't you, don't waste food it's not good" Akira replied again.

"About not wanting to eat her ice cream and you can't throw it away, then what should you do now?" Naoya said confusedly.

"We just eat together. I'll eat the ice cream if you eat the ice cream too. Brother also had to eat ice cream together with Akira" said Akira pursed his lips.

Naoya smiled with anxiety. "alright. So now we're going home?" Ask Naoya again.

Akira nodded. "Come on" said Akira taking ice cream from his sister's hand.

After that, they walked home and shared ice cream. With smiles and laughter from both.

"We went home" Naoya said entering the house.

"About home" said Akira.

"Well, welcome Mama-Mama's son stroked Akira's cheek-Thank you Nao" she told Naoya.

"Sama-sama Ma" said Naoya.

"At school, Akira got 5 stars" Akira smiled.

"That's very smart Akira, good" said Mama stroked Akira's head.

Akira smiles. "So Akira's friend didn't bring a pencil so Akira gave Akira a pencil" he said, taking off his shoes.

"really?" Ask Mama to smile.

Akira nodded. "True Ma, pity him so Akira gave Akira a pencil" he said again.

"About a good boy, let's go in" Naoya said.

"Yes Kak" said Akira then went inside. "So my sister bought Akira ice cream, Ma" he said again as he walked inside.

"Are you saying thank you not yet to Brother?" Ask Mama.

"It has. Thank you Kak Nao" Akira told Naoya who was walking beside him.

"Beloved together" said Naoya smiling.

Morning at home...

"What else did you watch?" Ask Akira curiously. He approached his father who was watching television.

"Buttal. Come here we watch together" said Papa smiling.

Today is Sunday. The children are off school and Papa is also off work. This is family time that is usually done by the Souma family or even done by all families in the world.

Akira then obeyed his father. He sat on the couch watching badminton with his dad. 

"Whatis that? She's holding what Pa?" Ask Akira.

"It was a racket commonly used to play badminton" Papa smiled.

Akira nodded in understanding and noticed the game that was in front of him.

"Oh?" Akira was surprised. "It's so hard.. Does his opponent not hurt Pa?" Ask when Akira saw the smash.

"Papa didn't know because Papa didn't feel it" Papa laughed. "That's called a smash, a hard and fast blow from a badminton. Cool right?" continued.

Akira nodded in spirit. "Cool Pa, very cool. Akira also wants to do it" he said with sparkling eyes.

"About having to learn first, then you can" said Papa smiled with anxiety.

They both enjoyed the match until the end. Not to forget the questions Akira is curious about the sport of badminton.

"Papa I want to play badminton" said Akira looking at his Papa with enthusiasm

"Eh? Suddenly?" His father was surprised.

"Yes, Akira wants to play badminton like Brother" said Akira.

"Well we will buy the racket first yes" said Papa smiled.

"Yeeeyyy, thank you Pa" said Akira hugging his Papa.

"What's this about? Looks like Akira is very happy?" Said Mama who came with a snack and followed by Shinji behind.

"About playing badminton and Papa will buy him a racket" Akira smiled.

"really? Looks like Akira is interested in badminton huh" said Mama smiled.

"Can Akira be?" Shinji asked doubtfully.

"Can just want to learn Kak, but Akira believes Akira certainly can" he said passionately.

"All right" said Shinji laughing.

After that Akira really got the racket. Akira studied badminton in theory and practice by his father. He is really excited about this sport. He practiced every day with his Sisters from school to the afternoon. Akira won't stop until he's really tired.

"About being a badminton athlete" Akira said, sitting in the yard after playing badminton with Shinji.

"That's not bad. If Akira wants to be an athlete, Akira will have to train even harder so that he can enter the Olympics" Shinji said.

"Unright, I want to train even more" Akira smiled.

"But now we go in first yes, Brother is tired" Shinji asked

"Good Brother."

Akira continued to train every day hard. He really enjoyed this sport. His abilities also improved greatly by the day. Akira has mastered badminton.

2 Years later, Akira gets a scholarship to enter a badminton organization in his area. You could say this is a local institution where children are gifted in badminton. Of course he's very happy. The goal is to become a great athlete and win a championship organized by the BWF (Badminton World Federation). Both of his parents were very proud of him. In addition to being proficient in sports, academic scores at the school are also very good. He really is a kid to be proud of.

At the age of 12, Akira has won many international tournaments for junior level and he is one of the seeds at the institution where he studied badminton. As a reward for her achievements and her 15th birthday, Papa and Mama gave Akira many gifts including sports equipment, dresses, jewelry, and many more, as well as her sisters. Akira is really happy. She is grateful to have a family that loves her and has a pretty happy life.

These three brothers really took care of his sister very well. They never let their little brother get hurt. Akira also grows up to be a smart and adorable child, and strangely again, judging by his growth, Akira very rarely cries. Once upon a time, when he was 5 years old, Akira fell down and there were many wounds on his feet and hands, but he did not cry. He even laughed at the incident that had just happened to him while his parents and brothers were very worried about him. If indeed the reason for Akira's infrequent crying was innate, it was amazing. In addition, her three brothers always look after her until Akira never cried.

But when Akira was 16 years old, his mother left Akira for good because of an accident and it was the first time he cried loudly.

"Mama... wake up Ma, why is it like this?! Wake up Ma, let's wake up and open your eyes..." He cried when he saw the mother who was lifeless in front of his eyes.

"about..." Naoya hugged his little sister.

"Sister, why did Mama leave? Does your mother not love us anymore? Akira wants to play with Mama again, Akira wants to be with Mama!" He cried at Naoya.

"Sister, make Mama wake up again, sister..why did mama leave us? Did Akira do anything wrong until Mama left? Akira just wants Mama back, sister."

Naoya tightened his embrace.

"Akira..heard Brother. Akira is not wrong, I know Akira loves Mama, we love Mama too, but God loves Mama more, so God takes her from us. Mama was happy with God, so Akira did not cry yes" he said trying to calm his sister even though his heart was screaming.

"Then let Akira come with Mama, Akira also wants to be happy with Mama" he said again.

Naoya was very surprised by his sister's words. He held onto Akira's shoulder and looked at her.

"No! Akira can't come with Mama. Akira can't talk like that. If Akira goes Big Brother, Papa, Shin, and Yuki will be even more sad. Akira is very valuable, do not talk like that again, Brother please" he said back hugging his sister.

"That's right, son. You have to stay with us, just Mama's gone but you don't" said the father who was calming Yuki down.

"I think you want to be happy with Mama too, Akira just want to come with Mama! Akira wants to be with Mama!"

"About.don't be like this, dear brother please. Mama is calm there, do not cry yes there are still Papa and Kak-Kakak here" said Naoya again.

"But Akira wants to be with Mama." she cried again.

"Darling, there's a big brother here. Brother will take care of you" said Shinji hugging Akira while crying.

"Sister.." cried Akira shriek. He cried loudly in Shinji and Naoya's arms.

"Mama... Yuki dear Mama, Mama must be happy there" said Yuki who also cried.

"Don't cry son, everything will be fine" said Papa who also cried while still hugging and calming Yuki.

Today was really like a disaster that broke the heart of the Souma family. Without wind and storm, without warning and notice, the mother left her husband and her four children. The accident just happened and re-awakened us that death can come anytime and anywhere without warning first. Therefore we must do good so that when death suddenly comes, we can die happily without any regrets left behind. 

Madam Souma's body was later buried next to Grandpa Akira's grave. Now only the Souma family is still at the funeral.

"Mama.." said Akira who was unceasingly crying.

"Dear, don't be like this. Mama will be sad later" said Papa. "We go home" he continued.

"No, Akira wants to be here. Akira wants to be with Mama" Akira refused.

"Akira.." said Yuki hugging his sister.

"Listen son, Mama's calm down there. Mama would be sad to see Akira like this. We go home, yes, tomorrow we come back here again" said Papa to appease Akira.

"Let's go home" Yuki asked.

Akira looked at the old tombstone of the mother. She really can't let her mom go. But in the end he complied with Papa and his brother to go home.

"You want a big brother hm?" Naoya.

Akira nodded. "Don't cry anymore huh, hold tight" said Naoya holding his sister.

While walking towards his house, Akira still cried on Naoya's back and therefore Naoya cried again. Naoya walked slowly because in fact he was still very hit. His body was still in shock and his stamina was reduced because he was tired of crying from earlier.

"Don't cry baby, Brother will always protect you, we'll be fine. If Akira cries, Brother will also cry" Naoya said with a hoarse voice typical of people who have been crying for a long time.

Akira was silent for a moment hearing her brother's different voice. 

"Sister.." call Akira lirih.

"Hm?" Naoya cleared his throat in response.

"Tu-down Akira" he said sobbing.

Naoya stopped walking. "Why? Brother can still carry you" Naoya said.

"Down-down Akira" he said again.

Naoya obeyed Akira's words, he sent down Akira carefully.

"Sister.sorry, forgive A-Akira. Pa-padahatan Kakar is also sad but, but Akira even troublesome Brother, sorry Kak" he said while looking down.

Naoya then hugged his sister tightly. He felt proud that Akira could understand the situation. Naoya just did not want his little sister to keep crying because Naoya would definitely come crying. He even apologized for things he didn't actually need to do. Naoya just hugged his sister tightly without a word, and all that sounded was a sobbing.

"Sister... Brother sorry, forgive Akira" said Akira returned the embrace of his brother who was not less tight.

Naoya. "No, don't apologize to Brother, Akira is innocent" Naoya said, looking at Akira.

"Sorry Brother" said Akira who returned crying. 

Naoya wiped away the tears he had been holding. "Yosh yosh, good boy. Although there is no Mama but there is still a Brother and Papa, we will not leave you. Don't cry anymore, or you'll cry again. Now we go home" Naoya said, wiping away her sister's tears. Akira Pun simply nodded as an agreement.

"Come on Big Brother again" Naoya said crouched down so that Akira could climb onto his back.

"No, Brother must be tired. Akira can walk alone" said Akira who made his brother smile.

"Alright, come on" Naoya said, embracing Akira.

Arriving at home...

"About going to bed, Papa's sure Akira is very tired isn't he?" Papa said with a smile.

"What about Papa?" Ask Akira.

"Papa will rest. You also rest" Papa told his children. "Good night" Papa continued, then entered his room.

"Yuki sleep, you've been crying for a long time. Shin also sleep" Naoya said.

"Okay, sister" Yuki said entering the room. And Shinji as well.

"About going to the room, Akira also has to sleep now" Naoya said.

"I guess I can do it myself. You sleep, you are tired too, right? Akira can be his own brother" said Akira.

"really?" Ask ensures.

Akira nodded. "True Kak, Akira is okay" said Akira convinced.

"Good night dear" said Naoya kissing his sister's forehead.

"Good night Brother" said Akira smiling.

After making sure her sister went inside the room, Akira also went to sleep. He came back crying when he saw his picture with Mama, Papa, and his brother on the nightstand.

"Mama.." she said softly unable to hold back her tears, she cried again. She cried sobbing trying to hold her voice in order not to be heard by Papa and her Brother because they would come back crying later.

"about..." Shinji opened the door of Akira's room slowly. He approached Akira and hugged her. "Don't cry anymore, Mama and we'll be sad to see Akira cry" said Shin patting Akira's back gently to calm him down.

Akira returned his brother's embrace and came back crying.

"Yosh yosh, the beautiful child should not cry, the beauty will disappear. Let Brother accompany Akira to sleep yes" Shinji said smilingly and Akira only nodded. 

"Sleep it's night" said Shin stroking Akira's head. Shortly after, Akira fell asleep hugging his sister.

(Why did Mom leave us like this? Look at Akira, Yuki, Kak Nao and Papa who keep crying. May your mother calm down there. I will keep my promise to always take care of Akira and always make her smile. Not only Akira but Yuki and Kak Nao as well) Shinji said in his heart. He shed his tears in silence. Soon, Shinji follows Akira into the dream world.

They could only cry and let go of the mother. They know that their lives are still going on and can't continue to fall like that. Sometimes the longing comes back and they can only pray for her to be happy up there.

After her mother's departure, Akira took over homework such as cooking, washing, cleaning the house and so on. She knew she was the only daughter in this family so she should be able to do all the housework like her Mama. He also knows that Papa, Naoya and Shinji who are tired of working and Yuki who is tired of college so he should be able to make Papa and his brothers disappear. She also closed in on Papa and her sisters about the sensitive matter that would make them sad.
