The End of Akira
Chapter 3: The New Friend

Souma's family life runs quite happily even though there is no mother figure in it. They love each other and look after each other especially Akira as the youngest child and only daughter in the Souma family.

"Good morning Pa" said Akira who was making breakfast.

"Good morning dear" said Papa. "Don't push yourself too much, Papa can eat at the office later" he said again.

"It's okay Pa, Akira can. Papa must eat Akira's cooking, not someone else's cooking will be angry" Akira said.

Papa laughed a little. "Don't Papa understand."

"Good morning Pa, good morning Akira" said Naoya.

"As usual, Akira is always diligent" said Shinji who also just arrived.

"For Sister. Of course Akira is indeed diligent" he said arrogantly.

"Let Brother help you." said Yuki running towards Akira.

"So don't run like that, it will fall for Akira" Akira said backtracked.

"Sister can't fall baby, Brother's foot brake is still safe, Akira is calm" explained Yuki.

"But still afraid of you" protested Akira.

"Alright, Brother won't repeat it again. It's done, isn't it?" Ask ensures.

"Yes Kak, it's done" said Akira releasing his apron.

"OK" said Yuki bringing cooked food to the dining table and arranging.

"Thank you for the food" said Papa.

"Thank you for the food" Naoya said.

"Well, as always, very tempting. Thank you" said Shinji.

"Sama-sama Pa, sister" said Akira to sit at the dinner table.

While eating breakfast, they shared stories and laughed together. It was 3 months after his mother's death. Akira is now a high school student in his first year. Naoya and Shinji have also worked at his Papanya and Yuki's company which is still in college. They never fight, get angry or let their family members cry. They really take care of each other.

"About today delivered Nao yes, Papa must visit Papa's friend first" said Papa.

Naoya nodded. "About with Brother later yes" said Naoya smiling.

"Good Brother. Akira is a little nervous now, what if Akira doesn't have any friends at school? Akira does not like the first day of school" said Akira sadly.

Papa smiles. "About like a child who just entered, even the elementary school children feel happy on the first day of school" said Papa chuckling.

"Calm down, Akira just needs to do it like Akira used to do" Naoya said.

"I guess I can, Akira is his sister Brother so I can definitely. Don't worry like that. Fighting!" Yuki's voice was encouraging as well.

"And if anyone dares to mess with Akira, Big Brother will hit him" Shinji said.

"As usual, Brother is cruel" Akira told Shinji.

"Silver is not cruel, just assertive" Shinji smiled.

"What the fuck? Brother Shin is not cool" Akira said again.

"So say Brother's not cool? As long as Akira knows, there are many women out there who want to be Brother's lover, but Big Brother does not want to date them, Big Brother has not found Brother type" arrogant Shinji.

Papa, Naoya, and Yuki laugh at Akira and Shinji's little fight.

Shinji releases his hand from Akira. "Just look if Akira is teasing Brother again" Shinji threatened.

The threatened Akira only pressed his lips forward while holding his neck.

"But Akira is right, sister?" Yuki mocked.

"really right? That's the truth, brother. Where's Akira's fault trying?" Akira Protest.

"Hm, Akira is right" Naoya said.

"You don't have the right to say that because you don't have a boyfriend yet" Shinji said.

"But I was really admired by my friends in the office" Naoya said arrogantly.

"Sir Nao, want to try my punch?" Ask Shinji.

"No, thank you."

Mr. Souma smiled at the debate of his children.he is very grateful that his family can be fine until now. 

"Shinji please change your abusive habit of hitting people even if it's just a joke" Papa said.

"Shin is not rude Pa. just assertive" Shin reassured his father.

Papa nodded in understanding. "Alright Papa understands, but it still has to be changed huh. It's yes, Papa left first, Papa's friend must have been waiting" said the statement.

"Well Pa, be careful" Akira smiled.

"You guys be careful in the way yeah don't speed" said Papa passed away.

"Well Pa, be careful" Yuki said.

Seeing her brother who had finished eating, Akira then cleaned up the rest. He washes his dirty dishes and after that just leaves for school.

"Sir Nao, let's go. Akira doesn't want to be late on the first day" Akira asked.

"Sister is waiting for you. Come on" said Naoya.

"Sister Shin, Brother Yuki, Akira is leaving huh. See you, bye-bye" said Akira.

"Be careful, the spirit of the first day of school" said Shinji.

"Bye-bye~ Akira spirit, be careful driving Kak Nao" said Yuki.

"We're leaving" said Naoya.

On travel...

"Akira's school is quite far away, so don't go home by yourself wait for Brother to pick you up" Naoya said.

"I think you understand Brother."

A few minutes later, they arrived at the Akira school gate.

"Listen Akira don't go home alone, wait for Brother's invitation. Don't be nervous like that, I'm sure Akira can. The spirit of learning is yes, Brother left" said Naoya.

"Okay, brother, thank you. Be careful on the road" Akira said.

"Bye -bye Akira."

"Bye-bye" Akira waved his hand. After her brother's car was far enough away, Akira went to enter the school.

Akira is very nervous to see many students who are also seen entering the school let alone they are very beautiful and handsome.

Arriving in class...

Akira sat on an empty bench by the window. He was very nervous and just looked down hoping that school would be finished soon even though it was still early morning.

"Excuse me can I sit here?" say someone.

Akira then looked to the source of the sound. "Please, this place is empty" Akira smiled. The girl then sat down on the edge of Akira.

"What's your name? Can we be friends?" Ask Akira.

"Of course, I'm Mitsui Ayano, greetings know" he reached out his hand.

"I'm Souma Akira, greetings. Please help" said Akira smilingly received Ayano's hand.

"Well, is Souma Akira? I think I've heard your name" Ayano said with a smile.

"really? Where's where?" Ask Akira curiously.

"Hmm I forgot, it seems like the wrong person" Ayano said again.

"Well, that's right, we just met" Akira said. They became friends and talked about many things.

At rest...

"You going to the cafeteria?" Ask Ayano.

"I brought my own provisions from home, sorry" said Akira.

"Then I beg-Ayano put her palms together - I'm a little scared of people" Ayano said.

Akira smiles. (It turns out there are people like Akira here too) All right come on, let me drop off" Akira smiled.

Then they went to the cafeteria. Akira is seen returning alone to class as Ayano is still waiting for her order in the cafeteria. He told Akira to return to class first because the canteen was very crowded and it would take a long time for Ayano to get her order.

"It's so quiet" Akira said after finding her class empty and there was only a girl and a man inside.

As she was about to make her way to the bench, the girl ran up to hit the man so that the two fell to the floor.

Akira who was surprised immediately approached the two.

"You all right?" Ask Akira to panic.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm in a hurry, my mom's waiting downstairs. I will replace it when I return later, please let me see my mother first" explained the girl regretfully and in a hurry. It seems very important.

"It's okay, leave" said the man still surprised.

The girl then left the man with Akira.

"Aah. when this is Mother's cooking" he said to clean the food scattered on the floor.

"Let me help" said Akira, who took the food that fell.

"I'm sorry, you're bothering like this" he said with a smile.

"(He's quite handsome) It doesn't matter" Akira smiled.

"(Beautiful) This is my mother's cooking, but I threw it away" she said smiling.

Akira looked at the man. "(Tasting Mom? Akira misses Mama's cooking) Sorry, Akira can't help you with your mother's cooking, but if you don't mind, you can eat my lunch. I brought him quite a lot" Akira smiled.

"(about?) No, I can buy food in the cafeteria. Thank you Akira, right?" Ask ensures.

"(Why did she get to know my gosh. Did Akira mention Akira himself?? How is this, Brother told Akira to use the word I in school so as not to be ridiculed but Akira instead let go. how is it now?) A-ah right, I'm Souma Akira" Akira said smiling awkwardly.

"Greetings, just call me Sou" he said with a smile. 

Akira was silent for a moment looking at Sou's smile. "(He's really handsome) I-iya salam knows as well" Akira smiled. "It's over" he said again.

"Thank you, sorry to bother you" Sou said.

"No problem Sou. I'll go back to my seat. Excuse me" said Akira standing up.

"Thank you" said Sou, who stood up.

Akira then went to his seat and picked up the provisions. He was hungry from before. While going to eat, Akira still saw Sou who was packing on his stool which was not far from Akira's bench.

"Sou!" Call Akira.

"Yes, what's up Akira?" the answer.

"You want my provisions? I really brought quite a lot today" Akira smiled.

"No, no Akira. I'll just buy some food in the cafeteria" Sou refused with a smile.

"So in the cafeteria is very crowded Sou, you might run out of rest if you go to the cafeteria now" said Akira again.

"really?" Ask Sou.

Sou seemed to think.

"It's okay Sou, we share food. Besides, I brought enough supplies" said Akira again.

"(Hmm. I don't seem to have any other choice. True what he said, if the canteen is very crowded I will spend my time waiting and not necessarily I get the food. But does it matter if it's like this? Didn't we just know? Or does it matter if you try it a little?) Akira... May I have a little?" Said doubtful.

"Of course, come here" Akira smiled.

"Is it okay if I ask for your supplies?" Said Sou approaching Akira.

"No problem Sou, I also brought a lot of food today, take a look" Akira smiled. "Ah right, the place." said Akira confused. He couldn't possibly eat alone in the same place as the person he just met.

"Just use my lunchbox" Sou said, then went to get her lunch box.

"Here" said Akira taking Sou's lunchbox from his hand. Akira then divided his supply into 2.

(It's beautiful, good anyway) Inner Sou noticed Akira.

"This, I've split it equally, eat it" Akira smiled.

"Thank you very much Akira, you are really kind" Sou smiled. "Can I eat with you here?" Ask Sou.

"Maybe" Akira replied smiling.

Sou then took a chair and sat down in front of Akira.

"Good meal" Akira smiled.

"Good meal" said Sou, who also smiled.

Soon Ayano came with a lot of food in her hands.

"Akira~" call Ayano from a distance. Akira who heard it just waved his hand.

"Oh? Hello, sorry to bother you both" Ayano said after seeing Akira eating together with Sou.

"Ah no, I've been interrupting your time especially Akira, I'm sorry" Sou bowed.

"Ayano don't misunderstand me. This is Sou, our friend, the student sitting on the second bench from the front" explained Akira.

"Yes, please don't misunderstand me. I was helped by Akira earlier. My provisions fell so Akira shared his food with me. Please don't think things out" Sou explained.

"Ah that? I thought you were Akira's girlfriend. Sorry, I misunderstood. I greet Ayano" said Ayano sitting next to Akira.

"I'm Sou, greetings" Sou said. "I'll take a drink first" he said again.

"I was going to share the food with Ayano, but I did not have the heart with her, I'm sorry Ayano" Akira whispered to Ayano.

"It's okay Akira, I've bought some food too, haven't I? So it doesn't matter" Ayano smiled.

The three of them then went back to eating each other's food. They talk a lot and make friends. Akira is quite happy because it's a good start on his first day of school. He made a nice and fun new friend.

Day after school...

"What are you going home? Want to be with me?" Ask Ayano.

"Sorry Ayano, I will wait for an invitation" Akira smiled.

"Alright then, let's go home together until the gate" said Ayano smilingly who was taken by Akira.

"Sou want to come home with us? Just up to the gate but" Ayano approached Sou's bench.

Sou nodded. "Come on."

The three of them then walked together all the way to the gate while chatting and occasionally laughing.

"Sister!" Call Akira.

Naoya who heard it just waved his hand.

"That's your brother?" Ask Ayano.

"Yes, he's my brother" Akira smiled.

"Funny nice.. Your brother is handsome Akira" he said again.

"My brother is handsome" Akira smiled.

"Right, your brother is handsome but still more handsome than me" Sou said confidently.

Akira and Ayano just stared intently at Sou.

"You can be that confident in front of my brother" Akira said cynically.

"Yes, you're too confident. It sucks" said Ayano.

"I was just kidding" Sou said regretfully.

Akira and Ayano laughed at Sou's regretful expression.

"You're adorable" Akira said laughing.

"Right, you're adorable" agreed Ayano who also laughed.

"Sister!" Akira approaches Naoya.

Ayano and Sou then smiled and slightly bowed to Naoya.

"Well, we go home first, see you tomorrow Akira" said Ayano. "We'll excuse you, sister" she told Naoya. Sou only smiled and bowed respectfully.

"All right, be careful. See you tomorrow" Akira waved his hand.

"Be careful on the road" Naoya smiled.

"Okay, excuse me" Ayano smiled.

"Excuse me, brother" said Sou.

They then leave Akira and Naoya.

"New friends, huh? Tumben once Akira get 2 friends at once, usually only 1" Naoya laughed.

"The evil sister once-Akira whines-they're Ayano and Sou Kak, they're good" Akira smiled.

"Thank God-Naoya ruffled Akira-ayo's hair home" he asked.

"Come on Brother."

On the way home...

"How was school today?" Ask Naoya.

"Today is just an introduction, Kak, nothing important" said Akira.

"Introduction is also important Akira. Akira got to know a classmate, didn't he?" Naoya.

Akira smiles. "Big brother is right, I know my classmate's name." 

Naoya smiled when he heard Akira's statement.

In-house...

"About home" said Akira entering the house.

"We go home" Naoya said in the back.

"Welcome, Brother Nao, Akira" Yuki said.

"Nobody's gone home" said Akira smiling.

"Silver has to go back to the office, the work of Big Brother is still a lot" said Naoya.

"Sister, don't go first, eat first. Akira cook it for a while, wait for ya" said Akira kept his bag in the living room and headed straight to the kitchen.

"No need for Akira, I'll eat him later" Naoya refused.

"There is no rejection! My sister hasn't eaten either, has she? Let's be with Yuki Kak eat it. Eat first yes, you can permit Papa to be late 10 minutes" said Akira while cutting cooking ingredients.

"Sir Nao will not be able to fight Akira if the disease recurs. Follow me Brother" said Yuki sure.

"Alright" said Naoya resigned. Yuki is right that even her Papa cannot win if she has an argument with Akira.

"Wait a minute" said Akira while cooking deftly and neatly. Shortly after, Akira was finished.

"This is Brother, sorry for a long time" he told Naoya and Yuki.

"It's okay, thank you my beautiful sister" Naoya said.

"Thank you Akira, good-bye" Yuki said.

"Sama-sama Brother. Akira stayed yes" said Akira passed from the dining table.

"Where are you going?" Ask Naoya.

"I'm about to change clothes."

"Later change his clothes, let's eat together" he said again.

"No, sister, Akira wants to change clothes first. I ate first with Yuki. Akira went up on Kak" he said.

"I trouble her again" Naoya said sadly.

"How else, right? Hurry up and eat, Brother will be late" said Yuki.

Yes, Naoya and Akira's other older brother always felt bad for Akira. Since her mother's departure, Akira has become busier than usual. He had to get up early to make breakfast and prepare the needs of Papa and his brother, wash clothes and others. Naoya feels that he has taken Akira's time that should have been used to play because Akira is out of the house just for school and badminton practice. "Thank you for the food, baby. Now Brother really has to go or Papa will be angry later" Naoya said.

"Alright, brother, be careful" Akira smiled.

"Sister goes yes. Yuki, take care of Akira" Naoya said again.

"That's for sure Brother, be careful" Yuki replied.

"Be careful, bye-bye" Akira said.

"Bye-bye" Naoya said slowly disappearing from Yuki and Akira's sight.

"Now Akira eats yes" Yuki said.

"No sister, Akira is not hungry yet" Akira said as he cleaned his dirty dishes.

"Let Brother wash, it's an ex-Sister" said Yuki.

"No, Brother, you just sit there or watch" Akira said.

"Let Brother help you" Yuki said to Akira.

"No Brother. Brother just sit down, Akira does not need help" said Akira a little annoyed.

"Akira is not tired? Akira just came home from school, let Brother help ya" said Yuki.

"No, my sister, Akira is not tired. If Akira is exhausted, Akira will faint now. Brother just sit there yeah" said Akira smiling.

"Are you sure you don't need help?" Ask again.

"It's 1000 percent sure" Akira smiled.

"Alright, please yes" Yuki said then sat back down.

"Give everything to Akira" Akira smiled. 

Although Akira felt tired, but he thought that his fatigue was not much than the fatigue of Papa and his brothers. Akira feels he is responsible and wants to be more useful to Papa and his brother. He didn't want to be a spoiled person who couldn't do anything, therefore he did everything even when he was feeling extremely exhausted.
