"Excuse me!"
"Yes a minute!"
Rafi, who was enjoying her breakfast menu in the living room where the hostel with Kalina, just got up as soon as she heard the sound of people greeting from the front of the guard post. After drinking half a glass of water and cleaning his mouth with the tissue on the table, Rafi rushed a quick step towards his workplace guard post. While Kalina just smiled to see Rafi's employees, then continued to enjoy her breakfast which remained a little.
"Isn't that the man from yesterday?" rafi muttered inwardly as soon as his eyes saw the figure of a masked man standing in front of the guard post. Rafi was very confident that the man was the same man where one of the backs of her hands had a fish bone tattoo with TGM writing on his side.
What surprised Rafi enough was the arrival of the man was not alone. He came with a woman and a young boy whose age was estimated to be around five years. They were seen sitting on one side of the wall near the gate.
"Well, can I help you?" rafi asked with a friendly attitude.
"This is me yesterday, Mas, who wants to rent one of the rooms here," replied the man who is still faithful to use the mask.
"Oh that? Sorry I kind of forgot, because I think you do not rent a boarding house here," said Rafi kindly made.
"Of course so, Mas. Because I think this is a safe place" replied the man. I don't know what the guy meant to say that it was a safe place. Rafi is quite surprised to hear it, but Rafi tries not to care even though her curiosity grows.
"Today I've mentioned the conditions for renting a boarding house here, right?"
"Oh yeah, this is my wife's identity card."
Rafi's forehead is contorted. "Who lives here one family or just your wife, sir?"
"My wife and child, if I would only stop at this place occasionally if I was off work."
Although it sounded suspicious, Rafi just nodded and did not ask more details. He received the identity card that the man had given him and processed it straight away just like the rest of the residents.
"This is the key, the room as you saw yesterday," said Rafi after making a transaction and also received money as the first payment of each new occupant at the boarding house.
"Okay, Mom, thank you. Then excuse me for going to the room first."
"Do I need to take you?"
"Alright, may the wife and children feel at home in this place."
The man nodded and then approached a woman and a small child waiting for him. They immediately headed for the room that the man had seen yesterday. Rafi stared at the man's departure with a heart full of questions. Frankly Rafi was very curious and wanted to know everything about that person.
"What are you doing, Fi? How bengong?" kalina's voice suddenly startled Rafi who was silent with a gaze towards the person who had disappeared from her sight.
"Eh, no. .. Did you finish your breakfast?" rafi asked somewhat stuttered because quite surprised to hear the voice of Kalina who arrived there.
"Well, that's yours you want to continue with breakfast?"
"No, no interest."
"Yes, I cleaned up first" Kalina replied and she just went to the place where they had enjoyed breakfast together. Rafi who had banned him was ignored by the woman. He resigned and chose to sit in a chair in the guard post.
After cleaning and tidying up the place, Kalina came back to Rafi and at the same time, the man and woman and the little boy who had just come, were out of the boarding house. They want to buy some of the things they need. Rafi was invited.
"Here accept one family, Fi?" kalina asked as soon as the person who had disappeared from sight.
"Yes accept, the obvious origin of husband and wife."
"But how did I see last night that there were some hostesses carrying the opposite sex and like they weren't a married couple?"
Rafi smiled wryly. "That's how city life is, Kal. Many are just dating but the style of courtship is like a foreigner. Kebablasan."
"It's not just in town, Fi. In the village there is also a lot like that. Even in my village there was, already pregnant first but the wedding event was very luxurious. I don't have any shame."
Rafi smiled faintly at Kalina's words. In reality, what the woman said was true. Free life does not just happen in the city. In the village, there are now many cases of abusive relationships.
"What do we do ourselves, Fi? So, do it now?"
