My babysitter Maduku

My babysitter Maduku
Chapter 22

"Where do you live now, Anissa?" asked Arini while watching Anissa who had not been bored with taking little Azkia chattering.

Anissa was silent for a moment then looked at Arini with a sad face. "I live in a contract that is located quite far from this housing complex, Ma'am. But ...." Anissa stopped her words. The woman lowered her head and now her shoulders seemed to tremble.

"Anissa, are you okay?" Arini looked anxious because she knew that she was sobbing there.

Anissa raised her head. "I don't have any more money, Ma'am. I couldn't pay the rent and now I'm being evicted by the owner of the place. That's why I was so expecting this job. I need money to get on with my life, Ma'am," Anissa replied with teary eyes staring at Arini.

Arini nodded slowly. "There are empty rooms in this house. But I dare not give it to you, before I ask permission to Mas Dodi and my Mother-in-law."

"It's okay, Ma'am. Anyway I can still hitch a ride in friend's boarding house for a while. Later if I already have my own money, then I can find a contract around here" Anissa replied as she wiped her tears.

Right at that moment, Bu Nining arrived at his residence. The woman had just finished attending an arisan event held once a week with her friends. He glanced at Anissa who was sitting on the sofa of the front room with puffy eyes.

"Who is he? Your friend, Rin?" ketus Bu Nining's.

Anissa threw her smile to Bu Nining who was still watching herself closely. While the middle-aged woman remained indifferent and did not want to return the smile of the woman he had just seen.

"He's Anissa, Mom. She will be Azkia's Baby Sitter later" Arini said very carefully. He did not want to offend the super-duper sensitive Bu Nining.

Bu Nining exhaled a rough breath while bending her face. He was upset because it turned out that Dodi and Arini did not want to listen to his opinion and remained tight-lipped on their stance.

"Well, so you're also hiring a baby sitter? Huh, it's like a rich man! Even though Dodi's salary is still boring fruit to connect our lives!" gerutu Bu Nining with bulging eyes.

"You know what else, Mom. It's Mas Dodi's own request. I have tried to reject it, too" replied Arini slowly, so that her in-laws would not become more inflamed.

"Have, excuses!" Ms. Nining, who was unable to resist her anger, walked away and entered her room.

Anissa looked at Bu Nining intently even until the middle-aged woman disappeared from behind the door of her room. "Why is Mama-in-law behaving like that? Does he not allow you to have a baby sitter?" ask Anissa then.

Arini breathed heavily. "Like that, Nis. But Mas Dodi still kekeh want to find someone to help me care for and take care of Azkia. Um, I hope you can understand how my mother-in-law is and can feel at home working here" said Arini.

A few hours later, at Dodi's office.

After getting a surprise phone call this afternoon, Dodi now gets a chat message from a number she once recognized. Even the content of the chat message is also no less surprising than the phone.

"Anissa, you're really outrageous!" pissed Dodi.

Dodi was at a loss for words. He clutched his phone tightly and almost slammed the flat object on the floor. Dodi was really furious because the woman asked him for something again. Even the woman did not hesitate to threaten him if Dodi did not grant his request.

"Slowly the woman really took hold of me! God, what am I supposed to do now?" he muttered while throwing a cell phone on his desk. "Arini, I'm sorry," said Dodi with teary eyes.

Not felt, now the man's working hours have ended. After tidying all the important files scattered on his desk, Dodi immediately stepped out of the room.

"Hi, Dod! Tumben's late, usually 'you always come home fast, '" teased one of Dodi's best friends who happened to be with him to the parking lot.

"For the rest of the time" answered Dodi briefly and clearly. The man did not even look at his friend at all. His eyes were fixed forward with a blank look.

Yes, if in the days before he was so excited to go home to see his wife and little baby, but not today. If possible, he would love to go somewhere else and not go home. He really didn't want to see that woman. The woman he always thought was bragging, terrorizing and haunting him.

"You're okay, aren't you, Dod? Did you fight with your wife? If you need a friend to tell you a story, I'm ready to listen to your story" he said, staring sadly at Dodi.

"No, no need. I'm okay anyway, anyway. Really," replied Dodi while patting the man's shoulder.

After arriving in front of his car, Dodi immediately entered and then said goodbye to his friend. "I go first, yeah!" dodi said as she raised her hand.

"Sure, you don't want to tell me?" ask the man again to be sure.

"Yes, I'm fine" said Dodi as he turned the steering wheel. Within seconds, Dodi disappeared from his friend's sight.
