"Doctor Steavee..." Unintentionally Ana stared at the silhouette of the doctor at the end of the door.
"Sorry, Ana. I overheard your conversation. I don't want to bother you guys" Stephanie bluntly said.
"It's okay doctor. Just a casual conversation between mother and child. The doctor doesn't have to be shaken." The woman steps aside, allowing Stephanie to check on the state of the son.
Stephanie's doctor examined Mallfin closely. Afterwards, his gaze turned to Ana.
"Alright, let Mallfin rest. You come with me."
Ana said that after saying goodbye to little Mallfin, the woman followed Stephanie who walked out of the room. Sitting in the waiting chair, they had to talk for a moment.
"How about, what's the complaint?"
"Yesterday, Mallfin lost his hearing. And now, she could not see," her gaze was blank, the woman seemed to lose hope in the midst of despair.
"It's okay. After the surgery is done, Mallfin will be fine, Ana. Maybe in 5 days, Mallfin is ready for surgery."
Ana lowered her gaze. How is this, he has not even been able to pay off the operating costs. The operation won't be possible until he can pay for it entirely.
"It's okay. Don'tbeafraid. Mallfin, he's a strong boy." His hand rubbed his back gently.
"Oh yeah, can I ask you something?"
"Yes, please doc."
"Eummm, where's their father. I don't think I've seen it?"
Ana was silent for a long time, making Stephanie aware, the question was not appropriate to come out of her mouth. "Ahhh, sorry Ana. If my question is too presumptuous."
"It's okay, Doc."
Ana let out a heavy sigh before finally reopening her voice.
"Actually, I'm a victim of abuse. I don't know where their father is." Ana's submission, given those times, was really painful.
"I'm sorry Ana, I shouldn't have opened up old wounds for you."
She smiled as if everything was okay. "It's not okay, doctor, anyway it's been a long time."
"Don't you want to look for her?"
"No."
"Why? Did the kids never ask about their dad?"
Breath was heard from the woman. It turns out it's still the same. The pain he could not forget. The tightness in the chest was even still lodged in its place.
"You remember how he looked?"
"Yes. I remember it so much. Even my two children seem to be declining from him. Moreover, Mallfin, they are very similar."
Doctor Stephanie fell silent. Both of her beads just highlighted, staring at Ana full of question marks.
"Ahahaha, sorry doctor. Is my story so boring?" The woman laughed amid her dewy eyeballs. To be honest the cry was about to collapse, yet as hard as Ana's heart held it. He doesn't want to sit in front of anyone. Even Stephanie's doctor.
"No Ana. You- Surely it's not easy to go through all this. You're a great girl."
"Ontie dotell's..." Screeches little Maurin managed to resuscitate both. Ana and the young doctor turned their heads.
"Hi beautiful. Where have you been?" Sapa Stephanie first. The young doctor was always upset by the behavior of the little girl.
"Tadi Mollin main shama Nono shana. We play tullush keudall-keudallan hide-and-seek, shellu sheukalli onty dotell... ."
"Oh yes... Can aunty come play?"
The little girl was silent for quite a while.
"Onty dotell has been beushall endak bolleh playful ladi. How about mallahin mommy and onty dotell?"
"No. Mommy's aunty good. Maurin would love to meet his mommy aunty."
'Later Maurin could call him granny, Maurin would like to meet his mommy aunty?' stephanie whispered. Makes the little girl squeal.
"Shius onty's?"
"Yes, of course."
"Mollin wants Mollin. Yeayy... ."
"Aahaha... ."
