Chapter 68 - Inner Wilderness
Three days later
Elder Chi brought Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi all the way to the wilderness gate in the Heavenly Dragon sect. Arriving at the place, he also spoke briefly, “You two will get a shirt when submitting this form and the other Elder will explain the rest.”
After handing over the two documents to Lin Yan, Elder Chi immediately left because he did not want to linger close to Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi.
When he received the documents, Lin Yan gave him one to Huan Caiyi and gazed towards the entrance gate. The disciples guarding the gate had already opened the gate knowing that Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi were disciples who had completed the entrance examination. Because, the two of them were taken by Elder Chi and it was the duty of the Elder to deliver and pick up students who would do the exam.
When walking towards the gate, the disciple guarding the gate spoke while pointing in a certain direction, “You only need to walk for ten minutes and will find the place you are looking for. The building has a board that says Information Hall.”
Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi only gave a small nod and directly entered into the sect.
The two of them were surprised at how many inner disciples and all of them were extremely strong. Also, many of the buildings in the place are like a city.
In the interior, there was a place used to buy some basic equipment or skill books, clothes and so on. That place was used for disciples to get resources or others from other disciples without having to leave the sect towards the Star Kingdom.
Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi continued walking while staring at everything in that place closely. No one cared about the duo and continued to do their usual activities.
“Is the intermediary in the Heavenly Dragon sect indeed this crowded every day?” Huan Caiyi who was staring at that ant could not believe what he saw because the sect itself was already like a city.
“Possibly not.” Reply Lin Yan.
“Hm? Why are you saying that?” Ask Huan Caiyi in surprise.
“This possibility will open every weekend. If every day, this sect would be just the same as all cities and there was no function to join the sect.” Lin Yan said with his speculation.
Huan Caiyi seemed to think for a moment and felt it was possible. Otherwise, it was definitely very few disciples trying to join a sect that looked like an exchange of items.
When it reached the place called the Information Hall, Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi directly went inside. They also moved to one of the places guarded by one of the Elders who seemed to be taking care of a lot of documents. It looks like a room but it is open.
As Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi approached, the Elder halted his activity and looked at the two closely.
“Are you two students who just finished the wilderness entrance exam in?” Asked the elder because he had already seen Lin Yan's cultivation level which could be said to be very low entering the inner wilderness.
“Ya.” Lin Yan said when he took out his documents and tokens and handed them over to the Elder the same was the case for Huan Caiyi.
“Oh? You are the student who completed the class B mission issued in the outer wilderness?” The elder was of course surprised and looked at Lin Yan back with a puzzled look for a moment. Of course with Lin Yan's cultivation level, anyone would be confused since Lin Yan managed to become a disciple who completed a B grade mission then completed the mission of the inner wilderness entrance examination.
Some of the disciples who were at that place were shocked to hear it. Although the voice of the elder was not strong, the cultivator's hearing was of course very sharp.
Small discussions began to be heard among the students because of course many students are curious about who completed the class B mission while still in the outer wilderness. The elder did not ask anymore and went to the back. After a while, he came back out of the room and gave special clothes to the inner disciple.
“This is an inner wilderness disciple outfit. You are not obligated to wear them, but for student tokens, you are obliged to use them. And this is the token where you live. In the interior, you can also rent a place to live. However, of course the price of a residence that is not provided is very expensive because not all buildings in the interior is a place to live.”
“Also, there are several categories of residences in this sect. There was a certain residence that had an incredible qi density in the sect. But that was where the three main Elders were and the five Element Elders were. The eight places were referred to as, the Three Main Summits and the Five Element Peaks.”
“You must be the disciples of those eight Elders in order to stay there. If you do not intend to become a disciple of one of those Elders, you can rent a certain residence despite not having as much qi density as the other eight places.”
“Hire a residence that can use gold coins or merit points. Merit points can be exchanged into gold coins but gold coins cannot be exchanged into merit points. Merit points can only be obtained from the completion of the mission or certain other ways.” Said the Elder. He naturally explained everything because Lin Yan had many merit points resulting from the winner of a B class mission in the outer wilderness.
“Is there a question?” Ask the Elder.
“How much is the price of a building that is not too luxurious but not available in a crowd?” Asked Lin Yan because of course he wanted to rent a residence.
The elder was astonished by the not-so-crowded residence and then stared at Huan Caiyi closely.
Of course the Elder's gaze implied that both of them needed a quiet residence in order to have some fun.
Looking at the gaze of that Elder, Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi put on a dark face like a frying pan as they naturally understood its meaning.
“You can have a place to stay like that. But you cannot do anything indecent because there will be punishment from the sect.” Said the elder bluntly which made Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi not know what to say.
“We only need a quiet residence so as not to be distracted cultivating!” Reply Lin Yan with a face that had regained its calm as usual.
The elder rolled his eyeballs towards Lin Yan as he was completely incredulous. But he also immediately introduced some places that were still not rented by other students.
