'Maybe I should ask Celestine for help? After all, he once ruled over an entire nation.' I thought, but it got stuck when I felt something touch my shoulder.
My instincts popped out and I turned my head and calmly looked at that person, which was really happening. What did not happen when I turned around was that I let out a girly scream as well as not tripping over the corpse and falling face down on the ground. I also did not feel like dying from shame when I got back up.
"Sorry about that. I, mph, bring, pfft, twig you asked for. Where do you want me to put it?" Celestine spoke, trying to hold back her smile, but she did not manage to do so.
"Ah, thank you Celestine. Give me a minute, I'm almost done," I replied erasing the screen from my sight and looking down at the ground. I used the Trap Hole and felt my mana drain as a hole appeared under the corpse.
...[.MP: 440 - 240MP \= 200MP]...
In one second, it disappeared first into the dark hole as I used Earth Wall several times to cover the hole back up, leaving a rough surface of the ground. "You can dump the rentiv around here. I don't need it anymore."
"Eh? Y-you, don't need it? W-what about the fire?" Celestine asked with a smile on her face, her eyebrows twitching in agitation. He spends all the time collecting twigs and Regulus doesn't need them anymore?
"No—,"
*Krack* (Ranting destroyed)
"I, uh, I mean yes, I know. Thank you for helping me. You can throw it anywhere. A-ayo go." I said I was a little nervous about how upset Celestine was.
Celestine dropped her twig and started walking in a random direction from our current location.
'I'll wait until he's not upset to ask for his help. It's not like searching on a time limit or something. I should remember to call a few more from the list as backup.'
(3 Hours Later)
"...So if you choose the angel side then the devil will hate you if you succeed and if you fail the angels will be neutral?" Celestine asked to clarify.
"Yup, that's the details." I concur.
"Hmmm..." He pondered, "Do you have to do it or could it be someone else? Also, can you check what will happen if you don't accept the quest but you still do?" He asked before ducking under the low branch.
"I just got a quest so I haven't asked. I was just about to do it when someone didn't scare me." I said, looking at him and he replied to me with an innocent smile, even though his eyes showed his excitement.
I went to the main menu and mm to the search to see if there was anything I missed. Looking closer, I saw a small question mark at the bottom of the page. I pressed it and a new page opened with the keyboard attached.
...[.What are your questions about the search?]...
...{What would happen if I received a search but someone else did it or helped me?} I typed, stepped over a small puddle and waited for the answer....
...[.If someone else does then you automatically fail the search. It depends, if someone in your "group" has qualified then they can "help" increase the percentage, but you have to be the one to do it.]...
...{What will happen if I don't accept it but I do?}...
...{What about the loyalty of all the angels and the hatred of the devil? Will I get it?}...
...[.No, since you refuse the quest, you will not receive the title or the consequences. Although ]...
...{One last thing, why is there a possibility of failure?}...
...[.Magic rituals are complex and must be perfect. There are unknown factors to consider.]...
...[.Accept/Refuse Quest?]...
I shrugged my shoulders and pressed [Accept] while telling her, "It seems like I can't have anyone else do it for me. Although, I can refuse the quest, but I will only get half XP and one ticket if I do."
"Well, that's not bad. At least you got something out of him." Celestine said before she suddenly stopped walking. He narrowed his eyes slightly before he let out a pleased sigh and pointed to his left, "Look Regulus, we finally reached the edge of the forest!"
"Finally, we made it out of there after going through so many twists and turns. Now, all we need to do is find the village and find out where we are." I breathed a sigh of relief as I stepped on the grass.
I looked around, hoping to see adventurers or travelers, but all I saw were worn trails and grassy plains. In the distance, I think I can see a city? It's hard to say, but I wish it was Axel.
I looked in the opposite direction and saw a small carriage heading towards us. I felt Celestine clutching my shirt, pulling me back behind the trees.
It passed us after a minute, raising a little dust as it drove. We stared at the carriage heading into the city.
After a few minutes of hiding, we went back out. As we stared at the back of the carriage, I asked Celestine, "Why don't we ask if we can ride with them?"
Celestine looked at me before she said two plausible words, "Devil Rabbit," before she started walking calmly back into the forest. He learned his lesson the last time he let his guard down, "Regulus, can you call the others in reserve if we get attacked again?"
I agreed and I asked as I followed her, "Why are we back in the forest?"
"Simple, it is unlikely that someone will find our location if the call causes a light show. After all, we don't want people to know what you can do." Celestine spoke, recalling what the demon had said earlier.
I nodded in agreement and looked at the list. Having more teammates will be a big help. So a Warrior or a Rogue is my best choice. I looked at the list and narrowed it down to 3.
Yomi [Warrior] (Sekirei) R
Kanae Shinjou [Rogue] (Boin Professor) N
Kalawarner [Warrior Magic] (DxD) N
I doubt who to choose, all three are good choices. Yomi for his wind attack, Kanae for his mischievous ability, and Kalawarner for air attack. Although who says I can only call one, why not all three?
