Wife Considered Mandul

Wife Considered Mandul
8. Winning Alone

The next day, Sarah finds Samuel waking up first. The man looks neat in his work suit. He looks like he's calling who. Sarah who just opened her eyes could only frown looking at her husband who was pacing.

"Yes, Mum... It'll be night... Yep... I'll tell Sarah later." said Samuel, who was allegedly talking to Lyla, her mother-in-law.

Lila, her father-in-law who always likes to squeeze her hair with high regard is the only person who does not like it. Sarah knew that her relationship with her in-laws would never get along because the middle-aged woman seemed to dislike her. He always commented on what seemed wrong in his eyes in Sarah. Starting from the clothes he wears, haircuts, to the matter of descent. It was not uncommon for Lila to censure him. The woman had even blatantly insulted him.

That's what makes Sarah not comfortable living in the main mansion owned by her in-laws. He would rather live in a normal house with Samuel. The decision was opposed by Lila. On the grounds that he was alone in the mansion and had no one. Sarah initially felt sorry, but Lila's lips that continued to blaspheme her made her have to be firm.

And repeated the first year of her marriage, when Samuel asked what Sarah wanted... He said to stay apart from his mother-in-law.

"What's up, Mom?" ask Sarah later. He looked at Samuel who was hanging up his phone and put the smartphone in his pants pocket.

"Here, mom called.." she exclaimed. "Say, tonight we are asked to come there. Mom had a little thanksgiving, so we were told to have dinner there!"

Sarah nodded. Lila often makes a big thanks. I don't know for what event, but certainly later tonight Sarah must come. He did not want to hurt the feelings of his mother-in-law. Sarah hasn't been there in a long time. Perhaps, slowly Sarah can improve their relationship that is not well established.

"You don't have a problem, do you, if we go there?" samuel asked doubtfully. He must have thought that Sarah would reject his mother's invitation, but Sarah shook her head. Showing approval.

"It's okay. All visiting mother. It's been a long time, yeah, we're not there." - smile.

"Yes. How else. After all, you're not a match for my mother!" samuel said in a casual tone. But Sarah could smell the meaningful sentence of Samuel's words just now.

It was as if he could not get along with Lila. It was as if Sarah had begun her incompatibility with her in-laws.

Sarah scolded. "Mas, how do you say that?" tanyakanya.

"What is that? Aren't you the one who never got along with my mom? That's, right, a fact. We who secluded ourselves all the way here and do not think about the condition of the mother who is alone, Sar." he said again.

Sarah who had just woken up was immediately upset, how could Samuel say that? Can't get along, he said?

"Mas, don't you remember that Mother herself was always hostile to me? My own mother never liked me. How can I stay at home? Your mother has her own standards for her daughter-in-law. Wealthy, from a respectable family, and have a high socialite class. Obviously I couldn't live up to her standards." Sarah defended herself.

Samuel massaged the base of his nose which was suddenly painful. "Then you should be the one trying to stay at home mom. We are, children. Should've been able to give a little dong..."

Sarah got out of bed and approached Samuel. She was so hurt by her husband's words. "Mas, less giving up what am I? For a year we stayed at my mother's house. Have I ever been angry? Or did I ever offend you? No. gabe. I always keep quiet when she compares me to her friends' children..." Sarah was all her might to hold back the tears. He did not want to show his sadness this early in the morning.

"You said my mom had her own standards and was always comparing yourself, right? What's wrong with you meeting my mother's standards and trying to take her heart?"

Sarah moved in frustration. In fact, for a year, he always tried to impress Lila. He always looked the way his in-laws wanted him to. And Sarah also almost every day seeks attention to make her in-laws want. But it's all for nothing. Lila never appreciated her efforts.

"West. Why do you keep thinking that?"

"That's the fact. And now you're saying I don't want to try to be what your mom wants and isolate herself? Then what am I supposed to do when your mother insults me and my family? Just quiet?"

"Sarah.." sergeant Samuel.

"I just didn't think you could say that to me. It hurt me so much..."

"I'm just saying facts. Didn't mean to hurt you" Samuel replied later. The man seemed insensitive to what Sarah was feeling.

Sarah was sitting on the bed. He was puzzled as to how this debate could have happened so early in the morning. Sarah has tried a lot. "Already, Mas. I don't want to talk about this!"

"I'm sorry." cried Samuel then.

Sarah lifted her chin to look at Samuel. For the first time in years, the man relented and apologized. "Mas—"

"But it's true what Mom said. You should be motivated. Not feeling angry and not accepting this..."

Sarah scolded. He was just about to be flattered for the apology Samuel said. Unfortunately, it is free. Everything is corrupting him. Neither his father-in-law nor Samuel himself.

"So how do you want? Back to mom's house?" sarah ran out of words.

"No way" said Samuel, shaking his head. "My mother's house and office are very far away. You've also been transferred here. It'll be hard to arrange a move again!"

"Eat him.." Sarah. "the food... Please... Don't ever say as if I can't get along with your mother. Karen honestly, I never felt like I had any problems with your mother. I also thought of her as my own mother. It's just that sometimes it's my mother's attitude that makes me feel alienated."

"You're the one in seclusion, Sarah. It's not the mother that makes you feel that way!" answer Samuel.

Sarah who was out of stock could only sigh loudly. I don't know how many times.

"I'm gonna take a shower. It's noon. I have to go to the hospital." cried Sarah again. He grabbed a clean towel from the closet and was about to bring it into the bathroom.

But his steps were stifled when he heard Samuel nagging. "All wives are the same. Want to win by yourself!"

Want to win by yourself, he said?

Sarah shook her head. Isn't it Samuel who wants to win?
