20 Years Adrift
Chapters 70. Positive Thinking

Affan put his left hand around Aira's shoulder. His eyes looked at his wife with love.

"Honey, this is Hana. New employees working in this office. He was Bimo's best friend" Affan explained.

Aira nodded then smiled looking at Hana. His hands were sincerely stretched out to introduce himself.

"Hi, my name is Aira. I'm Mas Affan's wife." Aira did not want to cover up her identity anymore. In this way he hopes that if the woman before him has bad intentions then he will soon realize.

Hana looked at Aira in disbelief. For a moment he was shocked by what he had just heard. His hands seemed to tremble and reply to Aira's hand nervously.

"Hana."

Hana's hands felt cold. Aira thought that Hana was nervous at the moment. However, he did not want to think badly of her.

"This is your son, huh?" aira asked as she touched Safira's tiny hand.

"Yes, right. Her name is Sapphira."

Despite having not met Aira before, Safira smiled sweetly at her. As Aira spread out her hands, she immediately greeted him.

"Sorry, Madam. I'm afraid he's troubling you." Hana did not allow Aira to carry Sapphira because she felt awkward.

Safira's face looked sad and almost cried. Seeing that, Aira became unbearable and still grabbed it.

"It's okay." Aira smiled at Hana.

Hana could not refuse any more and let Sapphira be carried by Aira. Sapphira looked very happy and hugged Aira very tightly.

"Be careful, honey. Don't be too tired, your content is getting bigger." Affan warned Aira who was carrying Sapphira walking while following him behind.

Aira's maternal instincts were very visible despite her young age. In addition to Aira, Sapphira also asked Affan to carry her. With hesitation, Affan carried her.

Hana looks reticent to approach but she also feels bad because her little daughter asks for a sling at Affan.

Bimo glanced at him then stepped towards the table where he placed his lunch. His stomach felt very hungry and the rest time kept rolling.

"Boss, I ate first, yeah!" bimo exclaimed as he opened the food he ordered and poured it into the plate.

Affan who was joking with Aira and Sapphira turned his head. He almost forgot that he had missed lunch.

"I'm hungry too, Bim." Affan then handed Sapphira over to Aira.

"Give it to Hana. You haven't eaten either, have you?" ask Affan to Aira.

Aira smiled and nodded. Not wanting to make Affan wait, he immediately brought Sapphira to Hana.

"Aunty eat first, yeah. You're the same as your mama. We'll play again." Aira gave her understanding to Sapphira before handing her over to Hana.

Safira. Although he had not been fluent in speaking he already understood what Aira had said.

"I'm sorry, Madam." Hana says goodbye to Aira.

"All right." Aira nodded.

Aira was still standing there until Hana passed and was no longer there. There was a strange feeling that he was difficult to describe. He did not realize that Affan was already standing next to him and gasped when his hand touched his shoulder.

"Let's eat. Poor Bimo from earlier has been waiting," said Affan softly.

"Ah, yes, Mas. I forgot to bring some food. It seems like enough for the three of us." Aira's words look unusual. He seemed to be thinking of something.

The rest was over right after they finished eating. Bimo immediately withdrew from Affan's room considering that there was a Big Madam there. He did not want to disturb their togetherness.

"Please bring the file on my desk. I'm done checking it." Affan spoke to Bimo who had finished washing his hands and was getting ready to leave.

"Ready, Boss! Anything else?" ask Bimo to ask you about the next task.

Affan seemed to think like he was remembering something. Today is quite relaxing and not as busy as usual days.

"I don't think there is. If there's an interest later, I'll call you." Affan did not want to hold Bimo any longer.

"Good, Boss." Bimo moved his hand like he was saluting and left Affan's room.

Now in the room there are only Affan and Aira. Affan walked up to Aira and took her to sit on the sofa. Gently his hand stroked Aira's protruding belly.

Affan looks very happy when he feels the movement of their prospective baby. Several times he put his ears together to hear and feel the little leg kick that was in Aira's stomach.

Her worry slowly eroded after consulting a doctor and stating that Aira and her baby are very healthy. Affan always prayed and begged that the bad events he experienced in the past did not happen again.

Eliminating trauma is not easy but Affan tries to get closer to God and tries to think positively.

A call on Affan's phone momentarily distracts him. They stopped the joking burp and both stared in focus at Affan's phone.

"Mas, there's a phone." Aira reminded Affan who did not move from his seat.

Affan nodded then said, "I pick up first, honey."

"Yes, Mum."

Affan walked over to his desk where he put his phone down. Bimo's name appeared on the screen and kept moving before he picked it up. Fearing that there are important things that cannot be missed, Affan immediately shifted the green button on the screen of his phone.

Connected calls.

"Hallo, Assalamu'alaikum Bimo" Affan replied.

"Wa'alaikum hail, Boss. This boss has news from the agents we sent. Does Boss want to hear it now?" ask Bimo.

Affan glanced towards Aira. He hid this plan from her. There was no way he would let Bimo leak it out just like that.

"I'll call you later. Give me time to relax with my wife. Assalamu'alaikum." Affan immediately hangs up the phone, between fear of getting caught by Aira and not wanting to be disturbed.

Affan put his phone on the table and walked back to Aira. Just a few steps he walked his phone back to ringing. He had to go back to his phone and get a call.

Affan gets ready to get angry when he thinks the caller is Bimo. Only Bimo dared to bother him. But it turns out the assumption was wrong. There is no name in the call that indicates if the phone number has not been stored in the contact.

Affan felt hesitant to pick her up considering her phone number was unknown to just anyone. For a long time he looked at his phone while glued until Aira caught up with him.

"Who, Mas?" ask Aira curiously.

"I don't know either, honey. Contacts not saved. Maybe just a stray number." Affan ignores the call and puts his phone back.

"Don't do that. What if he's your friend who needs help?"

Aira's words made Affan change his mind. He picked up the phone that was still ringing.
