The Legend of Zhu San
187: Come to Qingxiu Mountains
Zhu San and Bian Chi drifted towards the Southwest at their maximum speed. Along the way, the two only occasionally spoke and that was through telepathy.
When the sun was directly overhead, the two decided to stop by in a town slightly larger than Songdu City.
“San Gege .. Could it be a city called Lipu?” Ask Bian Chi. “It looks like so. Throughout our journey, we recently encountered a very large City, right?”
Zhu San corroborated Bian Chi's conjecture. Then the two went down behind a large tree two hundred meters from the northern city gate. Both of them walked to the gate.
“Woow there is a girl as beautiful as a bidadari!” One soldier said, when Zhu San and Bian Chi had been fifteen meters away from the gate.
“Huh .. Keep your mouth on, they seem like a noble. Be careful when talking.” One of the gate guard soldiers reminded his comrade.
Zhu San and Bian Chi of course heard the words of the two. They were just silent, because it was a form of admiration for Bian Chi who was indeed very beautiful.
“Show the identities of both of you!” A soldier immediately asked the two to show their identities. Nine other people stood guard around the gate.
“This .. Impossible! How dare you make a fake badge! Friends catch them!” The soldier was shocked when Bian Chi held out her badge of identity as Princess Shi Ling.
In their knowledge, Emperor Shi Hung had no children after the death of their first child. That was what made the soldier distrust the Identity Badge that Emperor Shi Hung himself had given him.
“Stop!” A loud shout sounded and stopped the movements of the other nine people.
“This Female Commander report shows a fake identity badge and claims to be the Princess Her Majesty the Emperor!” Report the soldiers to their leaders.
The commander looked at the badge handed over by Bian Chi earlier, then looked at the face of Bian Chi who bore a resemblance to Queen Qiang Ji whom he had seen while serving in the Qingzhen Capital.
He also recalled the letter that had just come yesterday afternoon delivered by the carrier pigeon, about a party at the Imperial palace welcoming the return of Emperor Shi Hung's daughter.
“Honor to Mr Princess Shi Ling!” The commander immediately knelt down as he recalled all of that. “Quick kneel or I'll break all of your legs!”
The commander snapped at his ten soldiers who were still dumbfounded, surprised to see the Commander kneeling like that. They immediately knelt down when they knew the truth.
After retrieving his badge, Bian Chi entered the city after scolding the ten soldiers on guard.
“San Gege .. Looks like I have to cover up my true identity and not use that badge again.”
Bian Chi said upon arrival at a tavern and sat down to wait for the meal they had ordered.
“It seems so, because they have not known the news of your return to this Qing Empire.” Zhu San replied casually.
A little while later came two men who looked like warriors, for carrying a sword at his waist. The two sat on the table beside Zhu San and Bian Chi's table.
As Zhu San and Bian Chi began to eat their dishes, the two heard interesting talk from the two people who were waiting for his order to come.
“Do you think the news is true? What if it's a trap?” The Grey-robed man asked his black-and-yellow-robed companion.
The man in black and yellow robes, then he explained that there was a demon residing in the cave, becoming the keeper of heirlooms and treasures that were there.
Zhu San and Bian Chi looked at each other, then spoke with his telepathy.
“San Gege .. It looks like we have to go to the Qingxiu Mountains that, if there really is a treasure in it, it will help the current economic condition of the Qing Empire.”
Zhu San who thought the same as Bian Chi smiled and confirmed his wife's wishes. After completing the payment, the two finally walked out of the tavern and headed towards the heavy Gate.
After hovering for nearly two hours westward, they finally arrived at the Qingxiu mountain range whose location they knew of from the soldiers of Lipu city.
From a height of two hundred meters, both of them could see several groups were walking from different directions but towards the same point.
“San Gege .. Are we going to come down and mingle with them?” Ask Bian Chi. Zhu San who was observing the situation below them, shook his head.
“We go down on that big tree only and see the situation first.” Zhu San said as he darted into a large tree fifty meters away from the crowd of warriors who had been there first.
Both of them stood on top of a fairly hidden branch. Then there were three highly capable people, darting into Goa in front of him.
The sound of fighting from inside the cave was followed by a scream three times. The atmosphere became quiet after three minutes.
“True to my guess, there was indeed someone guarding the cave. Maybe the Demon King or Queen who protects the treasure and the heirloom.” Zhu San said through his telepathy to Bian Chi.
“Then what should we do?” Ask Bian Chi. “We wait for a moment, they seem a little afraid to move in after hearing the screams of the three people earlier.” Zhu San replied as he looked at the warriors.
After nearly fifteen, none of the warriors entered the cave, Zhu San decided to enter the cave.
Both of them immediately darted very fast, surprising the warriors who were still silent staring at the cave in front of them.
“Be careful ... I feel a very strong killing intent from the front!” Zhu San said to Bian Chi, after the two were inside the cave which was more than ten meters away from the mouth of the cave.
The atmosphere in the cave is dimly lit, giving the impression of a creepy haunted. Zhu San became wary as he sensed the movement from in front of him.
After being twenty meters inside the cave, Zhu San found dozens of swordsmen's bodies lying in a very bad condition.
Their bodies were torn apart and the smell of blood filled the cave.
“Awas Attack!” Zhu San immediately jumped up as he sensed there was an attack from the darkness in front of them. He and Bian Chi managed to dodge the surprise attack.
“What just attacked us?” Bian Chi asked curiously. “That's it I haven't seen it clearly either.” Zhu San replied through their telepathy.
