Mardinal: The Assassin's Adventure

Mardinal: The Assassin's Adventure
Chapter 35: Bar Warehouse

Drop by drop of rain falls from the sky, slowly increasing, more and more into specks of rain accompanied by lightning, soaking the streets of the city which is now starting to be quiet from the activities of the people passing by.

Uncle Rom's Rodeo bar has also just closed, the workers also choose to go home early for fear of rainstorms getting fiercer.

In the barn behind the bar, Ranma had just finished storing the bottles. His face looked tired after finishing. Work that was initially crowded is now stopped because the rainstorm will soon hit.

His hazel eyes could see outside the door of the warehouse that was still wide open. He remembered that Mardin had still not returned as well after delivering the package. Although annoyed with Mardin's ignorant behavior, but Ranma already considers her like his own sister. Instead, he was a little worried about Mardin's current state.

But even if it's a storm, he's sure Mardin will be fine. Let alone the storm, like being hit by a battalion of military forces Mardin was still healthy.

Physically, I don't know if it's his brain.

Ranma stepped closer to the wide door, about to close it. But his intention was stifled when he saw a large shadow from a distance approaching the place. The shadow was not clear even though Ranma tried to see it with both eyes narrowed. It was pitch-black behind the bar that made whatever the object was.

The shadow is getting closer. And when lightning accompanied by a loud lightning struck, Ranma immediately recognized who the figure of the shadow was.

“Night, Bang!”

“Hn.”

Fortunately, Ranma was not surprised. He's used to being a flat-faced person. So, being surprised in any way won't work for him.

Apparently Mardin who just arrived behind the warehouse, riding a skateboard while carrying a black bag that is large enough to exceed his own body size. Entering the warehouse, Mardin got off the skateboard, slammed the bag in the corner of the room while trying to neutralize his breath due to fatigue.

Of course Mardin was tired after riding a skateboard very quickly while carrying a bag that big, even the skyboard mode still can not be used. But if used in bad weather this will have bad effects too.

“The package has been delivered?” ranma asked as she began to close the wide door of the warehouse.

After Mardin's breath felt normal, he turned his head, “Not asked what my situation was not, even the package anyway. No attention so brother,” sewot Mardin.

“Lah's…. You are, do not need to be asked about your situation, you must be fine.” Then, Ranma locked the warehouse door by swiping the key card on the slot in the middle of the door. “Nothing looks like injuries to your body.”

“Dih~.”

Mardin began to open the contents of the large black bag he was carrying. When he finished locking the warehouse door, Ranma had a peek from behind Mardin, curious about the contents of the bag that the young man had brought from earlier.

“What did you bring? Bodies of people?” guess Ranma's origin.

Mardin looked at him with a surprised face. “Ish, how to know?”

Ranma's eyes half glared, not expecting his guess to be correct. These nights, like the storm, know to come home with a dead body. Is crazy Ranma feels this adopted sister.

“Not just one body, anyway. But two. Nih...”

Mardin lightly showed two bodies in the bag. Both of the bodies of the men looked fresh. Ranma guess, they just died a moment ago. And of course the cause of their death was Mardin himself.

“They're Rogue, yes?” ask Ranma lightly.

“Iya. They almost infiltrated the villa to kidnap the children there. Yes, there is no other choice but to kill them both to protect the children.”

Mardin's answer is just an alibi. In fact, he would still kill them if both of them were Rogue who was considered threatening.

“Ish, ish, ish Ranma shook his head. “You're…. Supposedly, you can't play killing people like this.”

Mardin was confused. Because, the reason Mardin brought these two bodies so that they could be sold by the Uncle Rom, including Ranma himself as the son of Uncle Rom. Kok Ranma even said that as if Mardin's actions were wrong.

What is called killing is wrong. But it's different if things like this happen on Planet Urdalin. Murder is considered a common thing here.

“Wait, wait. Don't you usually just-yes we sell the Rogue's organs like this?” mardin was confused.

There was some time between the conversation between the two of them. Mardin was still staring at Ranma confusedly, whereas Ranma himself looked expressionless.

The silence of the atmosphere lasted a few minutes until finally Ranma returned to voice.

“You took it seriously? I was kidding, you know.”

“Hah?”

Mardin is getting confused, dong. Earlier Mardin was advised that killing was not good, now even Ranma's speech was considered joking.

With her face still flat, Ranma shook his hands. “Hey, that was I was just a drunk’an advising you. Originally ‘mah you didn't bring these bodies here. I am thankful though. Pretty ‘lah make additional capital from the sale of their organs.”

Mardin gaped at Ranma's flat reaction. If the advice was considered joking, it really does not sound funny at all, especially Ranma said it with a flat look like usual.

The teenager could only shake his head. I swear, flat people like Ranma have no talent for comedy.

“Ya, already. You took the two bodies straight to the operating room. I'm going to ready the equipment and the organ tubes, okay?” Then, Ranma walked towards another room in front of the warehouse.

“Ready, Boss!” mardin said cheerfully while saluting.

After Ranma left, Mardin carried a large bag of two bodies into one of the rooms next to the warehouse. The room is a special room for the operation and surgery of the organs of the bodies that will be sold. The place had already been given a warning sign that only certain people were allowed to enter, so it was quite a secret.

“Asec! Harvest, harvest, harvest!” With great pleasure, Mardin took the body bags and closed the door.

...~*~*~*~...

Raindrops were heard pouring down the entire city of Kamaju, including in one of the areas where this person lived.

In one of the apartment units, Haku sits quietly on a long sofa overlooking the glass of the balcony. Haku sat down while enjoying the view of the rain out there. On the table, a laptop with the monitor still on showed some of the data he had typed, and occasionally he sipped a cup of warm coffee.

The atmosphere tonight is so calming. When sipping coffee little by little, a warm taste spreads throughout the body, making itself feel much more comfortable and peaceful. However, this calmness did not last long when the voice of his cell phone call began to interfere.

Not just his annoying call, but also the voice of his cell phone call.

“I don't want to be shoved. Ngeck! Ngeck! Just go back to my dad's house.”

The sense of calm in the apartment instantly disappeared. Ever since Haku left the headquarters of the Yatshuhama Guild, he had forgotten to change the tone of his call. The tone of the call was intentionally set up by his junior to justify it.

Usually Haku's phone is left in silent mode. And when he turned off the silent mode, he realized that the tone of the call had forgotten to be replaced.

With bete Haku snatching her smart phone. The more complicated he was when he saw the name of the person who tried to contact him.
