Mardinal: The Assassin's Adventure
Chapter 8: Hate or Envy?

“Gosh. Sorry, sorry.”

Mardin accidentally nudged the shoulder of a student who walked past him. Since Mardin was friendly, he hurriedly apologized to the student.

The student was the same age as Mardin, a black-haired and honey-brown-eyed. However, his facial expression looked flat, even seeming cold and unfriendly.

“You all right, buddy? Sorry, I didn't look around on the road,” said Mardin kindly.

As a sign of apology, Mardin extended his hand about to shake hands. The black-haired student only watched the shaman for a few moments. Unexpectedly, he even brushed off the rough hand of Mardin. Still with a flat expression indifferent, he just passed away from Mardin.

After the student left, Mardin had seen his hands pressed, fluttered for a moment because there was a sense of numbness when pressed that hard.

Cungkring, Bobby, and Dimas hurriedly walked over to Mardin. The three saw the departure of the flat students getting away from them.

“What is Rizu?” said Cungkring exasperatedly.

“Know, tuh! Rizu is that guy. Never be friendly with anyone else. Nolep!” bobby's nagging, “To know, he's a 11th grader of Science A3. His work is mojok mulu in the corner. Every time someone wants to meet him, the response is more or less like earlier, flat! Called non-reply, wrong do not apologize, invited to play also do not want.”

“What do you want for a boy?! Most read the same LN comic that contains MC nolep, anyway! Hence, bringing it all the way to the real world. Thought such nolep behavior could make a girl on coming to him! Keep harem! Keep whipping! Keep OP! Continue, continue—.”

“Udah-already...” Dimas patted Bobby on the shoulder, trying to calm his friend who was often easy on emotions. “Maybe he's shy. Fear of being wrong when interacting with people.”

“He's not an introvert who can still be understood like you, Dimas!” bobby is still emotional. “If you are a pendiem out of shame. Lah, him? The war was cold-ass. People like that ‘tuh must be slapped back and forth in his face to realize that we live in the social world!”

“Nothing, Bob.” Mardin smiled shadyly, trying to calm Bobby down. “People like Rizu can not also be forced to socialize with just anyone. Maybe he's picky looking for friends, let's not get it wrong. Maybe also our kayak people not one taste the same he.”

“I don't want to be bad at all, Mard.” Cungkring briefly looked back at Rizu away. “But of the many students at school, I think he looks the most hateful to you.”

Mardin was a little surprised to hear that. He actually did not care about wanting others to think of himself as what he was until he was hated so. But seeing Rizu's response as cold as before, Mardin became curious as well. What is Mardin wrong until it is hated by Rizu? In fact, the two of them never interacted, except passing like before, that was very rare.

“Emang what's my fault with him?” mardin was confused.

“It…. Don't think about it, Mard,” said Bobby lightly. “People who hate usually have no reason or reason. We can't change ourselves so people stop hating us. Follow the standards of the person will not be endless. Mending to be yourself, as is, as long as we are comfortable. Yaaa, maybe he hates being envious the same time you.”

Cungkring agrees. “Iya, Mardine. I thought it was like that too. I think Rizu is jealous of you. Yes, yeee…. Our mardin is ‘kan handsome, popular, friendly, nice to meet, likes to help.”

“Enchance anyway,” added Bobby.

“Enjay..!” The two laughed while fighting each other.

Dimas who saw it could only smile to understand while shaking his head. The behavior of two of their friends is a hilarious tone. Dimas still does not believe that he who is introverted can win the same people as them.

Mardin laughed in response to both. “Hahaha. You're these…. Huh, ah. Last ‘kan want to go to the canteen, buy food from the new menu. Purchase Dimas Entar, yak.”

“Ish?! What is the actual Dimas?” ask Bobby enthusiastically.

Dimas install sewot. “But! Who wants to buy you guys? My pocket money is also widely set aside to save, kale!”

“Ya, sorry,” said Mardin casually. “We ‘mah just kidding.”

Cungkring embraces the familiar Dimas shoulder. “Know, nih. Don't be cold like Rizu. You ‘kan his people are better to hang out with.”

...~*~*~*~...

An eastern room with a wooden brown color feels very calm. The room was made of wood, even all the furniture was made of high-quality wood. Every corner of the room there were several plum blossom trees in bloom, the petals slowly falling over the small pond around the plum tree.

At the end of the room is separated by a brown and gold curtain with exotic motifs, guarded by two large-bodied robots on the left and right sides. From the silhouette of the curtain, there was a person sitting casually behind the curtain, enjoying his favorite cup of tea.

One of the robots standing guard outside the room began to enter, kneeling before the curtain, paying homage to the person behind the curtain.

[“Omega Hakuma Umegawa requested permission to face Beta Hwan Zu Luan,”] the robot said.

“Please him in.”

“Good, Beta.”

After the robot moved away, the gate of the room opened. It was seen the figure in question started to walk into the room. The figure was a tall man, wearing a pink-white yukata. Her skin was smooth as white as snow, her long silver hair was tied to a high ponytail with a portion of pink bangs, her eyes sharply sliced bright blue protected behind glasses.

When somewhat close in front of the curtain, there was still some distance in between, the man kneeling gave a salute.

“My respect, Omega Hakuma Umegawa, at Beta Hwan Zu Luan,” he said politely while bowing his head.

“You are now not the Omega of the Yatshuhama Guild, Hakuma,” said the man behind the curtain.

Haku raised his head. “That's why I'm here, Master Luan. I wanted to ask, why am I expelled from the Guild? Is my performance as an Omega here less good?”

From Haku's tone, Luan could understand that the 20-year-old man did not accept himself being expelled from the Guild.

Haku is a killer. If he was not in any Guild, he would automatically be considered a Rogue. Being considered a Rogue then means that his reputation is bad and will be hunted by other assassins who are within the Guild. He would be considered a threat to other Guilds.

Luan heard him sigh. “It just so happens that you came here yourself, Hakuma. There's something I want to tell you, and it has to do with the reason I got you out of the Guild.”

Haku was surprised to hear that. He was curious as to what the 60-year-old man wanted to tell him, and what was the reason for him removing Haku from the Guild. Whatever the reason the teacher took it out, Haku still felt unsettled if he had to be Rogue.

It appears that Luan gave a tab to one of the robot bodyguards, asking him to give the tab to Haku. The robot bowed respectfully, walked over to Haku, then handed him the tab. After the tab was handed over, the robot again stood in its original place, next to the curtain protecting Luan.

Haku watched the tab that was still not lit, feeling confused about what Luan was about to convey through the tab.

“Try you find a photo of a young man.”

“Photo... a young man?” ask Haku in wonder.

According to the teacher's orders, Haku turned on the tab, started to open the file menu. But either the system of the tab is damaged or the device is blind, which Haku found is not the photo in question, but a video with a fairly loud sound volume.

“Ah…. Ah…. Aaaaah..!”

Haku glared in shock realizing it, while Luan instead jumped in shock behind the curtain.
