Victory in Life
Chapter 582

Jasper's shout made Darrel pale in shock.

He froze on the spot, and he did not dare to stare at Jasper at all.

Jasper only sighed when he saw Darrel's reaction. "I knew that the only reason Terence was brave enough to do something like this was because he had someone backing him."

"In fact, he really hopes you join him in dealing with me, right?"

Darrel looked up in fear and replied, "How did you know that?"

Jasper replied calmly, "The only way that no one knows about something is if you don't do anything."

"The only reason why I haven't dealt with Terence is because he's just a pawn that the opponent exploited, my target is the mastermind behind this."

Jasper then looked at Darrel intently. "The fact that you came to me today means you didn't dare join them, so I hope you'll tell me who this other person is."

Darrel shook his head with a bitter smile. "Not that I don't want to tell you, but I don't know who that person is either."

"I never accepted the idea of working with them to hurt you, so I ignored Terence no matter how he persuaded me, but I knew how his temperament was and I was afraid he would get into trouble."

"I heard it on the phone last night with whom I thought was the one who supported it, I heard Terence say that he was the one who lit the fire."

"I spent the night thinking, and I didn't dare hide it from you, that's why I planned to look for you and accept his mistake, I just never thought ... Huff."

Jasper tapped his finger on the table slowly when he heard Darrel speak, after which, Jasper looked at Julian, "Jul!"

"Yes!" Julian answered immediately.

"Bring Terence to me."

"Don't be too aggressive, if he's at home, try not to scare my uncle and aunt."

As if knowing what Darrel was worried about, Jasper instructed Julian in detail.

Julian understood and left, leaving Darrel to sit sadly on the floor with a bitter smile. "Then this is the end of our brotherhood."

Jasper threw a cigarette at Darrel and replied, "You have to believe that you're doing this for his own good."

Darrel picked up the cigarette with a bitter laugh. "Let's hope he understands, then."

40 minutes later, the door of the study opened to reveal Julian single-handedly dragging Terence into the room, the man's mouth stuffed with cloth.

"I've brought him Jasper, he's downstairs and was about to leave when I got there, so I took him, nobody else knows."

Terence lay face down on the floor, thrashing as Julian spoke, a muffled cry could be heard through the cloth.

His eyes widened as he looked up and saw Jasper and Darrel sitting together, as if he had seen something unthinkable.

"Well, you can get that thing out of his mouth right now" Jasper said.

Julian leaned over to pull the cloth.

Now that he could speak, Terence shouted, "Why did you kidnap me here, Jasper?! let me tell you, just because you're rich doesn't mean you can do whatever you want! you won't get anything if you dare to do anything to me!"

Terence's fierce face hid the guilt and fear he felt behind it, his eyes turning rapidly between Jasper and Darrel as if he was thinking of an important question.
