Sally went to make dinner with a happy laugh
Jasper laughs. "This woman is getting sweeter all the time."
Wendy turned to look at Jasper with a proud look.
Dinner consists of chicken, some vegetable dishes, and soup.
Jasper and his family sat around the dining table. The atmosphere became very bright and Wendy was no longer as nervous as before. In fact, he began to actively dilute the atmosphere.
Charlie talks more now that Wendy is here, and she asks him a few questions from time to time.
The woman is intelligent, because she doesn't tell the whole story. Instead, he simply said that his family was doing business and he was working for the Commercial Bank.
As far as ordinary families were concerned, a woman with such a family background was the most suitable for their son.
Not to mention that Wendy is a beautiful woman, and both Sally and Charlie are very happy with her.
Jasper drinks with Charlie and says, "Dad, these years I've been too much trouble for you both."
Charlie didn't even raise his head. "What are you talking about? It's part of our lives as your parents."
Jasper laughed bitterly. "I broke up with Penelope."
Wendy's ears immediately raised on the topic.
"That's great, then." Charlie's happy. "This girl is so much better than Penelope."
"Wendy and I still know each other. We're not together yet. But it was only a matter of time before we became together."
"Come back with us tonight, Dad. I bought a new house we could live with," Jasper suggested.
"No."
Charlie refused without much thought.
"I can't be free in a city as freely as in a village" Charlie explains
Jasper insisted, saying, "I bought some villas in the city some time ago. You two can live together. There is even a garden on the side where you can grow vegetables and flowers. It's all up to you."
Charlie's speechless.
"I know Mom and Dad have sacrificed a lot for me, Dad. I know you kept quiet about how Penelope treated you badly just because I liked her. But it's different now. I just want you both to be happy."
Jasper sincere.
"I'm gonna have your mom pack up after dinner. Remember to give back the money" Charlie reminded.
"I will not forget," Jasper replied happily, "Not when the dignity of the Laine family is at stake."
"Bad boy." Charlie smiled and walked back home.
After dinner, Jasper takes Wendy with him as he goes to pay off debts to everyone his family has borrowed money from.
Except for Bard's family, most of his relatives pity his family, so they are more grateful than upset.
Jasper was clear when it came to this family. He returned 10,000 for every few thousand his family borrowed, and 15,000 for 10,000 loans
It was not that Jasper did not want to give more, because the flowers he earned a day with his wealth alone had exceeded the amount he paid today.
It's just that people tend to take advantage of kindness.
He would only plant the seeds of hatred if he gave too much.
Jasper returns home and sees Charlie and his mother packed up and ready to leave.
Their clothes were few, so they were ready to leave at any time.
Locking the door, Jasper personally traveled to the village chief's house and asked him to keep an eye on his plot of land. Jasper wouldn't be so good anymore if the Bard family tried to take it again.
Jasper actually did not care about the plot of land, but he refused to let his aunt do what she wanted. If his aunt wanted to snatch it, then Jasper would do everything to keep it from his aunt.
Not to mention this land was something that their ancestors had given Charlie, so it could not be given away.
This is a matter of the dignity of the Laine family.
After taking care of everything, Jasper stuffed his parents' luggage into the trunk and left Laine Village, heading for the city.
Sitting in the car, Sally touched here and there before exclaiming, "This car is very comfortable. It must cost a lot, right?"
Charlie held back his words, but his gaze was filled with admiration.
Jasper's parents have never sat in a luxury car, so they don't know much about cars, but whether a car of this caliber is comfortable or not can be felt as they sit in it,
Wendy smiled. "It's not cheap, but it's all your son's hard-earned money."
"It must be hard." Sally's heart ached for her son.
Wendy closed her mouth and smiled before turning to look at Jasper intently as she drove. "Yes, it's not easy at all."
In fact, it is very difficult to sit behind the computer and move the mouse while typing on the keyboard. He made money in just a few minutes.
A few hours later, in the Mirage City villa area, Jasper parked his car on the door of the villa he had chosen long ago and entered the house with a surprise of the old man behind him.
“Bu, Dad, you guys will stay here from now on. I'll have Wendy hire two housemaids for you tomorrow as well to take care of you.
Both Sally and Charlie shook their heads.
"What household helper? They're just wasting money. Why would someone take care of us when we could move on our own? Don't look for a housekeeper."
"Don't waste money." Charlie agreed.
Jasper shook his head but let the topic stop.
Jasper hands the card to Sally, the keys to the villa, and some cash mumps. "I live next door but I'm usually busy, so take good care of yourself. I'll be fine. Wendy and I will come over for dinner and accompany you when we're free."
"Save the money, and the password of the card is my birthday. Don't worry about spending money."
Sally received the card and promised, but it seemed clear that she planned to keep the card and keep the money, unwilling to spend it.
There was nothing Jasper could do, as his parents were used to frugality. It was almost impossible for his parents to start shopping now.
But it is a habit that can be slowly changed.
At least their living conditions are much better now.
Wendy accompanies the old couple, and they walk back and forth in the villa to get used to their new home. Meanwhile, Jasper received a phone call and walked to the entrance of the villa.
"As per your instructions, Mr. Laine, we have uploaded a newly compressed program of less than 1 MB tonight and the customer feedback is great! Our registered users have surpassed seven million, and we have reached a peak number of three million online users!"
Hudson's voice was filled with excitement.
"Good job." Jasper smile.
"But, Mr. Laine, I just received a notice from an old classmate who works at Sena, the largest portal site in the country. They covet the number of our users and secretly develop new instant messaging software to attack us. We might be in trouble."
